New Editor of "The Long Island Catholic"

I first met the new editor, Rick Hinshaw, at a Young Americans for Freedom party while we were both attending Catholic high schools on Long Island. I was impressed by his outspoken conservatism then, and have watched his impressive career with interest, which, after leaving "The Long Island Catholic", included working for pro-life Nassau County District Attorney Dennis Dillon, the diocesan office of Family Ministry, the NYS Catholic Conference, and the Catholic League. He has written a Respect Life column in the Catholic which I have always enjoyed, and I am delighted with Bishop Murphy's choice in Rick for editor of "The Long Island Catholic".
This is good news for our diocese.
