Democrat Mommy State hates competitors

John Hayward on Twitter said, "Ann Romney should understand that the Mommy State does not like to face skilled competitors."
Lots of truth in that response, Democrats are politically successful to the extent that they break up families and keep the single moms dependent on entitlements. Fifty years of abortion on demand, easy divorce and free contraception has left an increasing number of broken families. These vulnerable people need the entitlement programs and thus vote Democrat. They would be better off getting married to stable men who can afford them the chance to stay home and nurture their children as Karen and Ann did.
Solid prosperous families are the Democrat's worst nightmare. Thus the virulent attacks on the Santorum and Romney families. Wonder why the Obamas escaped scrutiny? Everyone knows that Michelle and Barack rode to the top of the food chain on the affirmative action system and that they are its best defenders.

Fruit of the 2010 election sweep; Good Governor Brownback

I saw it as a social worker and teacher in minority communities, single women abandoned by their 'baby's daddy' who surive on welfare checks that encourage this shameful and harmful trend which has destroyed milliions of lives. Not one of the teens I worked with in inner city GED programs even knew anyone who had ever been married. It was not part of their worldview, thanks to three or four generations of welfare.
Welfare programs have supported women and children ONLY IF the man has fled. These type of programs encourage immorality and child abandonment, according to a famous Democrat;
Sociologist (and later U.S. Senator from New York) Daniel Patrick Moynihan warned in the 1965 Moynihan Report that the welfare rules created by the Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) program were breaking down low-income black families.
Such programs had stipulations that welfare payments would be made to women with dependent children, only if the “Man [was] out of the house” – a clear discouragement for poor dependent women to get married to their partners. Moynihan stated that the breakdown of husband-wife-led families in the black community was blocking their upward economic and social mobility, keeping them in poverty.
Former Senator and now Governor Sam Brownback is aware of this trend and wants to fight this family destroying trend.
“Studies show a healthy, loving family unit benefits not only the parents but, more importantly, the children,” Brownback said. “We will work to remove disincentives to marriage, so more couples can marry without the fear of losing crucial state support during difficult financial times.”

Conservatives like Governor Brownback and Former Senator Santorum who wrote "It Takes a Family" know the Catholicteaching of the sanctity of the family and how a nannny state will only create problems, like juvenile delinquency, substance abuse, gang membership and incarceration. This is borne out by statistics yet it takes a good pro-life governor to have the courage to change the system which beats down families. We need to take care of abandoned women, of course, but we need to stop men from abandoning them first.

40% of Americans say marriage is obsolete

"As families gather for Thanksgiving this year, nearly one in three American children is living with a parent who is divorced, separated or never-married. More people are accepting the view that wedding bells aren't needed to have a family."
Even the Census Bureau is redefining what constitutes Because, according to the Pew Research Poll, about 39 percent of Americans said marriage was becoming obsolete.
Things were different a little over three decades ago, by eleven percentage points
"In 1978, just 28 percent believed marriage was becoming obsolete."
And we wonder why more teens are getting pregnant, using drugs, committing suicide and getting fatter. Where is the love when young women grow up without the hope of being the apple of their husband's eye? When they believe they only have being used by men and raising children with temporary 'dads' who are apt to leave or abuse them?

Divorce is lethal to more than children's hearts

We know that God hates divorce. It says so in Scripture. We know also that the Catholic Church for that reason has forbidden divorce. Isn't that enough for us?
When Judith Wasserstein wrote "The Unexpected Legacy of Divorce" she was surprised to find in her longitudinal study that the long term affect of divorce was grown children who had never recovered.
Still the divorce rates of Catholics failed to differ significantly from the rest of the population. Now a study of 8,000 subjects from the Journal of Health and Behavior says that divorce kills us sooner.
"Losing a marriage or becoming widowed or divorced is extremely stressful," Waite said. "It's financially, sometimes, ruinous. It's socially extremely difficult. What's interesting is if people have done this and remarried, we still see, in their health, the scars or marks -- the damage that was done by this event."

I wonder if anyone is listening out there.

Divorce is bad for the environment; not too good for families either!

Maybe this is something the greenies can appreciate, that divorce causes more households, and more travel (the weekend shuffle of children) which generates more carbon emissions. Hearing that it destroys children's lives was not enough. Judith Wallerstein found that out with a groundbreaking longitudinal study which she describes in her book, "The Hidden Legacy of Divorce". Read a review here.
Maybe they care more for the environment than for children, oh wait, we already knew that environmentalists don't care about babies!

Senator Fielding from Australia is causing waves with comments like this:
Meanwhile, Senator Fielding - one of 16 children and a husband of 20 years - yesterday continued his battle to explain the many benefits of sticking it out in a marriage.

He said broken families had larger carbon footprints because people moved out, needed to find new accommodation and new utility services."
We understand that there is a social problem (with divorce), but now we're seeing there is also environmental impact as well on the footprint," he said.
Leave it to an aussie to get in trouble with too much truth!

Divorce is parents laying their crosses down;
on the shoulders of their children.

New Brochure on Down syndrome for Expectant Parents

A press release from Concerned Women for America
State Director Anne Downey launches an informational resource for new parents
Washington, D.C. — Concerned Women for America (CWA) of New York today launched an international project aimed at reducing the 90 percent abortion rate for babies diagnosed with Down syndrome. This new project, developed in consultation with the major Down syndrome groups in America, makes available a free informational brochure titled, “When you’ve learned that your baby may have Down syndrome … There is help and hope!” The brochure offers reassurance to families facing a prenatal diagnosis and provides them with a list of resources and support groups to help them learn more about their baby’s opportunities. At the companion website, DownSyndromeBrochure.com¸ the brochure is available in English and Spanish for free download or for ordering of printed copies at a nominal charge. Eventually, CWA of New York intends to offer the brochure in many different languages and with country-specific versions, such as a French version listing agencies and resources in France. The brochure is timely because of a December 2007 practice bulletin issued by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) which states, “After the diagnosis of a chromosomal abnormality, the patient should receive detailed information, if known, about the natural history of individuals with the specific chromosomal finding. In many cases, it may be very helpful to refer the patient to a genetic counselor or clinical geneticist and national groups such as The National Down Syndrome Society (www.ndss.org) or National Down Syndrome Congress (www.ndsccenter.org) to help the patient make an informed decision.”
The brochure will allow busy OB/GYN doctors and others to provide expectant mothers with easy-to-read information. The brochure features the photographs of children and young adults with Down syndrome and their family members. Anne F. Downey, Esq., State Director for CWA of New York, says, “The brochure features the faces of a number of children and adults with Down syndrome. Each of the persons featured in the brochure came to me in a special way and has his or her own wonderful story to tell. In the photos you can see the joy that these young people and their family members have. Just looking at them, you can see that there truly is help and hope.”Medical professionals, disability groups and others wishing to obtain the brochure in large quantities may contact State Director Downey for special arrangements.Concerned Women for America is the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization.
I submitted this photo for inclusion in this brochure. Our family does have a wonderful story to tell about life with a child with Down syndrome. I try to tell it every day at Cause of Our Joy.
We had no idea how popular this subject would be when the brochure came out.
Isn't God's timing great?!

Steve Mosher: US birthrate up, pro-life sentiment on the increase

Sometimes the grim scenario of cultural decline we see in Western Europe will spread to the US; but not this time, says Steve Mosher of the Population Research Institute. The American birthrate is back up to replacement levels and this nation is gradually becoming more pro-life.

My theory on this is that pro-lifers have more children, who are more likely to have children than their pro-death counterparts who value material success or career more than children. This blogger thinks that prolific homechool families are taking over the nation, and paints this picture of what a nation run by such people would look like:
" the likes of Pelosi and Kerry and Kennedy (take your pick) won't have a snowball's chance in hell of being elected to public office and, poof! there goes Cafeteria Catholicism in Congress. Hillary will be just a bad dream, and Alan Keyes a public force to be reckoned with.
No more abortion, no more assisted suicide, no euthanasia, no gay "marriage" and no more whiny little brats joining the military who don't possess any real intentions of manning up and being soldiers with moral integrity....And no more public school teachers molesting, raping and beating on children, or teaching sex ed in the name of "protecting our youth from unscrupulous priests."
Down at the Inauguration of President Bush in 2000, I addressed this topic with two elderly NARAL protesters, "you women forgot one important thing in your support of abortion; you are aborting your consistency. Pro-lifers love life, and thus while you are driving yourselves to extinction, our many children will be running this country". The poor women were apoplectic with rage, but had no response.
I have one for them, atheists essentially own the public school system right through university, if Prof. Meyer the Eucharist defiler is any indication. That's where they repeat the pro-death mantra (unless you're a polar bear). They have our children, if we are foolish enough to allow them access.
Then there's the media. The media once belonged exclusively to non-believers, but now, thanks to the internet, we lovers of God's gift of live have found our platform. We must vigorously protect this medium and the growing number of Catholic radio and TV outlets from the jealous hands of those who would silence it, under the guise of "Fairness".
Yes we are winning the culture war, but we must never rest upon our laurels. Mother Cabrini a diminutive Italian with poor health her whole life set up hospitals, orphanages and schools all over North and South America. She was known to say, " there will be time to rest in Heaven".
Let's get back to work to bring about the Culture of Life in America.

AFA Calls for McDonald's boycott over radical Homosexual Agenda

McDonald's chooses to support homosexual agenda
Refuses request to be neutral in culture war

McDonald's has refused a request to remain neutral in the culture war, choosing to continue support of the homosexual agenda. AFA wrote McDonald's asking the company do two things:
Remove McDonald's name and logo from the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) Web site listing McDonald's as a "Corporate Partner and Organization Ally" of NGLCC.
Remove the endorsement of NGLCC by Richard Ellis, Vice President of Communications for McDonald's USA, from the NGLCC Web site.
McDonald's refused both requests. McDonald's donated $20,000 to NGLCC in exchange for membership in the NGLCC and a seat on the group's board of directors. The NGLCC lobbies Congress on a wide range of issues including the promotion of homosexual marriage.
This boycott is not about hiring homosexuals, or homosexuals eating at McDonald's, or how homosexual employees are treated. It is about McDonald's, as a corporation, choosing to put the full weight of their corporation behind promoting the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage.
Pat Harris, Global Chief Diversity Officer, Vice President, Inclusion & Diversity at McDonald's,
responded: "I would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm our position on diversity." Notice that Ms. Harris said "reaffirm." Translated: McDonald's will not change their policy of supporting the NGLCC and their promotion of homosexual marriage.
Richard Ellis, who is openly homosexual, was given a seat on the NGLCC Board of Directors. He was quoted as saying: "I'm thrilled to join the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and ready to go to work. I share the NGLCC's passion for business growth and development within the LGBT community, and I look forward to playing a role in moving these important initiatives forward."
Addressing McDonald's promotion of social issues, McDonald's CEO Jim Skinner said earlier the company will aggressively promote the issues they approve. In remarks on its Web site, Skinner said: "Being a socially responsible organization is a fundamental part of who we are. We have an obligation to use our size and resources to make a difference in the world ... and we do."
Take Action!
Sign the online Boycott McDonald's petition and urge your friends and family to do the same.
Print and distribute the Boycott McDonald's petition.
Call your local McDonald's. Speak with the manager. Tell him or her (in a polite manner) that you will be boycotting McDonald's until they stop promoting the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage. To find the phone number of your nearest McDonald's,

UPDATE: In response to the boycott, McDonald's spokesman Bill Whitman suggested to the Washington Post that those who oppose SSM are motivated by hate, saying "...hatred has no place in our culture." McDonald's has decided to adopt the "hate" theme used by gay activist groups for years.
Whitman went on to say, "We stand by and support our people to live and work in a society free of discrimination and harassment."
Mr. Whitman has intentionally avoided addressing the reason for the boycott. This boycott is not about hiring gays or how gay employees are treated. It is about McDonald's choosing to put the full weight of their corporation behind promoting their agenda.

Heroic Catholic families

The late Fr. John Hardon said, "only heroic Catholic families will survive in this world".
Dr Jeff Mirus of Trinity Communications describes the heroic Catholic family at the dawn of the Third Millenium. Here's my favorite paragraph:
"In early third millennium America, heroic Catholic families generally don’t send their kids to public schools if they have any conceivable alternative. Nor do they take advantage of parochial or diocesan schools if their staffs are still riddled with cafeteria Catholics (or worse). If a sound Catholic school is not available, heroic Catholic families pull up roots and move, or they found independent schools, or they home school. Even if outstanding schools are available, they may still home school. I use the word “generally” in the first sentence, because there are exceptions to every parenting rule, and it isn’t anybody’s job but yours to make the best decision for your own children. "
Faced with only Cafeteria Catholic schools in our area, we have home-schooled, tried to start an independent school many times (and failed) and now we are discerning whether to pull up roots and move for outstandingly Catholic schools. And we are catching flack from a few quarters. But, we are heroic. Thanks, Dr. Mirus, I needed some affirmation!

Planned Barrenhood's chicken's are coming home to roost

from Tony Perkins at Family Research Council
The charges are mounting against Planned Parenthood. First came the revelations that Planned Parenthood clinic employees were caught coaching a 14-year-old girl on how to avoid triggering statutory rape reporting requirements against her 22-year- old boyfriend who impregnated her. Now, Planned Parenthood employees have been tape recorded accepting donations from an avowedly racist customer who asked, specifically, that his money be earmarked for the abortion of an African-American baby. The caller even stated that he wanted "to lower the number of black people in America." Seven clinics were called, and not one of the Planned Parenthood employees contacted even objected to or balked at taking donations targeted for the abortion of African-American babies.
You are not being asked about your donations to Planned Parenthood. Did you know that over $300 million of your tax dollars go to Planned Parenthood each year? A group of black pastors and pro-life activists held a press conference in front of the Planned Parenthood offices in Washington, D.C., last week demanding a congressional audit of the organization. The group wants an investigation of the alleged pattern of racist practices, funded by taxpayers, at Planned Parenthood abortion clinics.
We are confident that the majority of Americans would not choose to invest in a company that turns a blind eye to sexual crimes against children and accepts racially motivated donations. Please join the tens of thousands of citizens who have already signed the petition to President Bush, which FRC will deliver to the White House on May 7, asking the President to approve new Title X regulations ensuring that no taxpayer money subsidizes the abortion facilities of groups like Planned Parenthood. Ask the President also to ensure that legitimate clinics are not forced to refer for abortions.

Is Planned Parenthood a Wise Investment?

AFA calls off Ford Boycott

From the Family Research Council:
After almost three years, our good friends at the American Family Association (AFA) are calling a ceasefire with Ford Motor Company, ending a near three-year boycott that cost the company millions in sales--and even more in consumer goodwill. Based on months of monitoring Ford, AFA Founder Don Wildmon says that the company has made the necessary pro-family concessions. Although AFA's campaign is not solely responsible for the drop in Ford sales over the last two years, it was certainly a contributing factor. Since AFA and 780,000 supporters agreed to boycott, Ford profits dropped an average of eight percent per month. In recent months, Ford upheld its initial agreement which called for it to stop: giving corporate donations to pro-homosexual organizations, promoting activities like gay pride parades, offering incentives to groups that promote civil unions or same-sex "marriage;" and advertising in pro-gay media. While minor issues still exist, Don believes they can be ironed out.
We applaud AFA and all of you who used your dollars to make difference!
THIS is the reason we drive a Chrysler mini van!

What we can learn from African families

Sixteen years of marriage to a Latin American has taught me a thing or two about family life outside the USA. Families are far stronger outside the weathier nations, but they could teach us a lesson about what a real family is. And isn't
MercatorNet: And what do you think African families can teach Western families?
Asitaki: First of all, unselfish love, then patience and finally, openness to life. I believe that it is important to remind European families that the family should not be a place to search for one’s own satisfaction. The greatest happiness is found when everyone works for the happiness of everyone else. Difficulties are natural and normal in life. It makes no sense to question the great commitments of life because difficulties crop up. One must learn how to be patient and wait for the hard times to pass. It is equally important to fight against egotism and the individualism by highlighting the happiness of remaining open to life, of accepting the children which are the true fruit of the authentic love of husband and wife

Mothers who want large families ignored by EU

These days,Europe seems to have a death wish, and in a few short generations, predicts pundit Pat Buchanan in his book, "The Death of the West" Europe will be made of the children of Muslim immigrants. Look at what the EU is doing to women who, like me, just want to stay home and raise their children.
Maciej Golubiewski (NEW YORK — C-FAM)
At a meeting of the European Parliament this week, the European Large Families Confederation (ELFAC) warned that the long-term economic well-being of large families is “seriously compromised” by current EU family policies. Stating that “large families are the only key to the demographic future of Europe,” ELFAC argued that the EU’s current policy towards the demographic crisis in Europe ignores the fact that almost a third of European women aged 20-34 years would like to have three or more children while the birth rates in many EU countries continues to drop alarmingly. ELFAC argues that the EU’s family focus is on the “average” woman, which creates inequalities for large families since these policies are based on a family size of fewer than three children. Large families are treated as only marginally important for the well-being of the whole society and family life is devalued to the level of a “hobby.”
Instead, the EU focuses on programs such as promoting reconciliation of work and family life, while ignoring the fact that policy should also be geared to women who choose to stay at home and care for their children, which is not recognized as “work” in any of the policy documents. This situation of deprivation, which stops many women from having more children, is evident by the scant attention paid to those families who against all odds decided to have more children according to ELFAC. The group points to such failures of policy as no value-added tax exemptions on obligatory products for children (e.g. car seats), very low tax deductions for children, lowering of child allowances after a child reaches three years of age, and taxation schemes that penalize married and widowed parents. Recent data on the ideal family size in Europe show that the fertility rate of 2.1, which is needed for keeping the population at a replacement level, can be achieved if more policy effort is spent simply on helping these women achieve their goal.
Currently, not a single EU country has the desired fertility level and six countries are experiencing dangerously low fertility rates under 1.4. Calling for a meaningful change in the social attitudes towards the family, ELFAC advocates that a policy priority should be first to acknowledge that close to a third of European women do not seem to have “a right” to have more than two children, and that helping these women will singlehandedly solve the demographic problem in Europe. ELFAC’s report ends with a call to the EU and national government authorities to improve their family policies “so that the minority of women that want to have three or more children are free to have, raise and educate them.” It also includes a pledge to provide the EU institutions of up to five experts specializing in the needs of large families.

Mary Ann Glendon US Ambassador appointee is a Real Woman

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- President Bush has nominated a prominent pro-life law professor as the new ambassador from the United States to the Vatican. The president's nomination of Harvard law professor Mary Ann Glendon follows the trend of keeping pro-life advocates in the key diplomatic position.
Glendon has a long-standing pro-life position and her 1987 book, "Abortion and Divorce in Western Law" criticized the Roe v. Wade decision that allowed unlimited abortions.
"What is clearly 'old-fashioned' today is the old feminism of the 1970s — with its negative attitudes toward men, marriage and motherhood, and its rigid party line on abortion," she has said.
She has urged society to build “a culture that is respectful of women, supportive of child-raising families and protective of the weak and vulnerable.”

A Harvard professor who so beautifully represents women and the family, often in an environment which is openly hostile to traditional morality, now that is my ideal woman.

Psychiatrists and Religion

Psychiatrists are less likely to be Protestant or Roman Catholic and more likely to be Jewish or have no religious affiliation compared to other types of doctors, according to the study released on Monday in the journal Psychiatric Services.
The study found that 39 percent of all the doctors surveyed were Protestants, 22 percent were Catholics, and 13 percent were Jewish. Among psychiatrists, 27 percent were Protestants 10 percent were Catholics, and 29 percent, Jewish.

Moreover, while 10 percent of all doctors reported having no religious affiliation, 17 percent of psychiatrists listed their religion as "none." Psychiatrists were more likely to consider themselves spiritual but not religious (33 percent) compared to other doctors (19 percent).
"Religious patients who prefer to see like-minded psychiatrists may have difficulty finding a match because their religious group is under-represented among psychiatrists," stated the researchers in the study.

New-York-based St. Michael’s Institute of the Psychological Sciences run by Dr. Philip Mango is trying to counter the effects of a profession dominated by unbelievers. He describes the birth of the center here:
The inspiration for St. Michael’s Institute came in 1985. At the time I was working in a bureaucratic, government-sponsored mental health center, and I had become thoroughly disillusioned with the way the patients were treated there. The spiritual dimension of their lives was completely neglected by the staff. That was because they lacked any belief in God, objective truth, or morality. They encouraged divorce and sexual promiscuity, and ignored the powerfully negative effects that some patients’ occult practices were having on themselves and the entire center.
Frustrated, I contacted my friend Dr. Paul Vitz, professor of Psychology at New York University, former atheist, and fervent Catholic convert. When I told him of my dissatisfaction, Paul startled me by saying: “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could develop a center in New York City dedicated to integrating psychiatry, psychology and Catholicism? Where we would be free of all bureaucratic interference? Free like the Apostles to go around, maybe two by two, to bring healing and the message of Christ?
I earned a BA in Psychology with the intent to be a therapist, continued into a graduate program of Social Work at Fordham, while I worked in a mental health clinic run by Catholic Charities which did not represent the teachings of the Church. No post-abortion counseling was done, contraception and divorce were encouraged by social workers who themselves practiced it, and it bothered me that Catholic priests were referring parishioners there for what they thought was Catholic counseling. Few therapists were practicing Catholics, many were non-Catholic, so I felt that the entire clinic was a sham, and after two years, suffered from burn out. I had joined a group called, ACTS, Association of Christian Therapists, which met to encourage the integration of Christian faith into Psychology, but my workplace was still a spiritual desert. This was 1986, when Dr. Mango was starting the St. Michael Institute 60 miles from me in New York City. I wish I had known about him then.
After a lot of soul searching during a year I spent in Europe, I withdrew from the Fordham Graduate School of Social Services, where I had 15 credits toward my Master's in Social Work. I decided to get a Masters in Education to teach English as a Second Language instead. It seemed like a more productive way to help the poor, than the failed therapies from spiritually impoverished therapists.
I was fortunate to have a Catholic therapist in my twenties, while I was in this career crisis. Hew would identify my spiritual problems, and deal with them as a Catholic. He knew when he was out of his league, however, and sent me to confession when needed. THAT is what Catholics need. Fr. Benedict Groeschel, himself a Psychologist has said that people go to therapy, and usually they find out why they are miserable. But they are still miserable. Modern psychiatry encourages people to scapegoat others for their problems, but not examine their consciences and forgive those who hurt them. So instead of keeping their hurt and anger inside, they are aggressive, and lonely. Some people I know personally have completely rejected innocent family members based on a non-religious therapist's determination that they have been damaged by that person. More is lost than gained here, as bitterness is fostered and families shattered.

Thank God for men like Dr Paul Vitz, Dr. Philip Mango, with the St. Michael's Institute. Dr. Richard Fitzgibbons, director of the Institute for Marital Healing outside Philadelphia, and Gregory Popcak director of the Pastoral Solutions Institute, will be presenting at the Conference of the Society of Catholic Social Scientists this October on the integration of Catholicism into their respective fields.

Homeschooling is Getting a Bad Rap in Jersey

I normally cringe when there are 'homeschoolers' in the news. So many unstable or abusive parents who neglect their children's education hide behind the rest of us who slog on, day after day educating our children. I fear that the term 'homeschoolers' will forever conjure up some backwater family hostile to the 'guvmint' people.
As a Catholic mother, I would feel that I'm endangering my three daughters' eternal souls if I DIDN'T homeschool them, in the immoral culture we live in. The Catholic schools are hardly better, here, in fact they can do MORE damage, as one tends to trust that what they are foisting on the students is truth, when sadly, many times it isn't. I know this from personal experience with the historical-critical method of 'debunking' the miracles of the Bible, which I learned in Catholic high school.

Dr. William Marra, who homeschooled in the 1970's when it was unheard of, had a three-pronged approach for decontaminating children from the Culture of Death:

1. Take them OUT of the sewer of popular culture, blocking it's access to your home. Stuff towels under the door if necessary.

2.Create a Catholic culture in your home. Celebrate liturgical seasons, teach Church doctrine, read the lives of the saints, hang plenty of holy pictures on the walls, and don't forget frequent attendance at Holy Mass and the family rosary!

3. If you can, after doing steps 1 and 2, teach them the academics. But, if you're having a bad day, just pull out a deck of cards and deal the them. You have accomplished so much with the first two steps, you can afford to lose a day or two!

Think of all the children WON'T learn in school:
AlGore environmental voodoo science
Homosexual immorality as a healthy lifestyle choice
Many details about sex you never wanted them to know until marriage(or after).
How to sin with no consequences, and how to secretly abort a baby.
How Christian white men have caused all the misery in the world.
Why Obama/Hillary would make the world's greatest president.
The wonders of Islam, (they may even be forced to practice it as in California).
Why it doesn't matter if you can't read or add, if you feel good about yourself.

I could go on, but you get my drift! And they wonder why we can homeschool in half the time it takes for a regular school day! Just look at all the nonsense we can eliminate from the curriculum!
