It's Terri's Day

Four years ago, a young disabled woman was dehydrated by court order, at the command of her estranged husband, while her loving family's offers to take her into their home and care for her without compensation were ignored.
The President came back from a trip in the wee hours of the morning to sign a bill named Terri's Law passed unanimously by the Senate. The Governor of her state ordered that the evidence of the trial which condemned her to slow and painful death be re-examined and he was overruled by the Florida Supreme Court.
A President, a Governor, a Civil Rights Leader (Jesse Jackson), a Christian celebrity (Joni) a talk radio superstar (Sean Hannity) and a famous priest (Fr Frank Pavone) failed in their heartfelt efforts to save a young woman whose only crime was that her husband had moved on with his affections and started a family elsewhere.
Michael Schiavo had for some unknown reason, changed his mind from partnering with her parents in helping his wife's recovery, and suing her doctors for $20 million for her breakdown to have money to pay for her recuperative therapy, to a surly unresponsive man who only spoke through lawyers like George Felos who specialized in euthanasia. The soundtrack is reminiscent of "The Passion of the Christ" evoking that same dread that someone innocent is going to suffer by the end of this film.
This story is told in a compelling manner by Joni, a quadriplegic with the unique perspective to help us understand what Terri's feelings may have been, if she had just been able to speak more clearly. For speak she did, until Michael discontinued her therapy as "pointless". Joni offers the viewer her voice for her sister Terri who was silenced so unthinkably.
We must never let this tragedy be forgotten, as it continues unabated. in many hospices around the world, most recently to Eulana Englaro in Italy. The horror of forced dehydration will increase until it threatens someone you love. Four years ago, during this tragedy, I felt the hot breath of the likes of George Felos after my three year old daughter Christina who has Down syndrome, who many regard as "life unworthy of life". If a person's rights are determined by an arbitrary secular standard, any one of us may be in a situation one day where we are terminated for the good of society. It's what we would want, isn't it?
Let's remember Terri's Day and say "never again" in America will a healthy young woman who happens to be silent, suffer the agony of dehydration.
I highly recommend this riveting, yet balanced (yes, George Felos got his say) two part "Joni and Friends" TV show called "The Terri Schiavo. Story". It unpacks the emotionally complex story in a manner which unravels the maddening confusion deliberately created by the one-sided media and explains poignantly how a family's private battle inflamed an entire nation.
View it to remember that we do indeed inhabit a Culture of Death.

Today is red envelope day

The Red Envelope Campaign is trying to send 50 million red envelopes to Obama on March 31st representing the 50 million unborn babies killed by surgical in American since Roe v Wade in 1973.
The address:
President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennysylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20500
The message on the back reads:
This envelope represents one child who died in abortion. It is empty because that life was not allowed to offer anything to the world.
Life begins with conception.

Another CINO Obama nominee

from the Catholic League
In a few weeks, the Senate will vote on the nomination of Dawn Johnsen to be assistant attorney general in charge of the Office of Legal Counsel. Catholic League president Bill Donohue says the Catholic community should be given a heads up:

“As past staff counsel for the ACLU and legal director of NARAL (the most extreme pro-abortion group in the nation), Dawn Johnsen has done more than consort with the enemies of Catholicism—she has actively sought to undermine the Catholic Church.

“In the late 1980s, Johnsen worked on a lawsuit, United States Catholic Conference v. Abortion Rights Mobilization, that sought to strip the Catholic Church of its tax exempt status; she helped to prepare briefs securing standing for the plaintiffs. Thus, she is not simply a critic of the Catholic Church’s pro-life position—she wants to cripple the institution.

“Most Americans are repelled at the thought of a doctor jamming a scissors into the head of a baby who is 80 percent born. But not everyone. For example, Johnsen calls the term partial-birth abortion ‘intentionally provocative,’ but there is no evidence that she has ever described this hideous procedure that way.

“As soon as President Clinton took office in 1993, he took the occasion to sign five executive orders overturning abortion restrictions. Dawn Johnsen wrote every one of them. But it is more than abortion rights that motivates her—she wants to punish the Catholic Church.

“U.S. bishops strongly oppose the Freedom of Choice Act, a law so draconian that if it were enacted (Obama has said he will sign it) it could force Catholic hospitals to start performing abortions or have their funding pulled. Who helped to write this bill? Dawn Johnsen.

“To say that Johnsen has a Catholic problem is a monumental understatement.”t

The prolife Susan B Anthony List has the following collection of quotes from Ms. Johnsen
Mothers are Losers
“The argument that women who become pregnant have in some sense consented to the pregnancy belies reality…and others who are the inevitable losers in the contraceptive lottery no more ‘consent’ to pregnancy than pedestrians ‘consent’ to being struck by drunk drivers.’”
Pregnant Women are Fetal Containers
“The woman is constantly aware for nine months that her body is not wholly her own: the state has conscripted her body for its own ends. Thus, abortion restrictions ‘reduce pregnant women to no more than fetal containers.’”
Pregnancy equals Slavery
“Statutes that curtail her abortion choice are disturbingly suggestive of involuntary servitude, prohibited by the Thirteenth Amendment, in that forced pregnancy requires a woman to provide continuous physical service to the fetus in order to further the state’s asserted interest.”
All of these outrageous statements were made by Dawn Johnsen, who has been appointed by President Obama to head the Office of Legal Counsel in the Department of Justice.

Apostolic Visit to Legion of Christ

I am so pleased that the Holy Father is helping the Legionaries of Christ through the crisis they are in. They are such a gift to the Church, and thanks to the gentle pastoral leadership of Pope Benedict, they will be able to weather this storm and emerge stronger than ever.
"The Holy Father," Cardinal Bertone continues, "is aware of the noble ideals that inspire you and the fortitude and prayerful spirit with which you are facing the current changes. He encourages you to continue seeking the good of the Church and society by means of your own distinctive initiatives and institutions."
"In this regard, you can always count on the help of the Holy See, so that with truth and transparency, in a climate of fraternal and constructive dialogue, you will overcome the present difficulties."

How Tiller the Killer got away with murder AGAIN

Jenn Giroux director of Women Influencing the Nation, has done a column on how the doctor of death escaped justice, once again. Friends in high places. Like the governorship.
"Abortionist George Tiller, Governor Kathleen Sebelius, and the Abortion industry secured the "NOT GUILTY" outcome of this prosecution on Election Night 2006 when they defeated Phill Kline's bid for re-election to the Kansas Attorney General seat. This put an end to enforcement efforts and any hopes of a legitimate prosecution effort. Tiller's money was well invested and once again the abortion industry's money has taken care of their own. But they are not done yet. The final score they have to settle is with the guy who began all of Tiller's trouble. Governor Sebelius's majority appointed Kansas Supreme Court have already set the wheels in motion to go after Former Attorney General Phill Kline, now a law professor at Liberty Law School in Virginia, and take his law license to make an example of him for daring to expose Tiller and his crimes against women and the unborn."

Christendom College to honor Fr Frank Pavone with graduation speech

I find myself saying this every year; when choosing a college for your son or daughter, look at whom they honor, it tells you what they value. Since Christendom College is an hour drive from Washington DC, you would think they'd choose a Washington big shot for graduation speaker.
Instead they choose a pro-life hero, Fr Frank Pavone, whose bold eloquence in defense of the unborn leaves no doubt that he is the perfect graduation speaker.
My 15 year old daughter has been asking about a summer program in Christendom, and I'm encouraging her to look into this truly Catholic college.
Watch and learn, Notre Dame!
“Over the years, we have had some great Catholic men and women as commencement speakers, particularly, some great pro-life ones," Director of Admissions and Public Relations Tom McFadden said in a statement to LifeNews.com.
Nellie Gray of the March for Life, Joseph Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League, Gov. Robert Casey, and Congressman Chris Smith from New Jersey are some of the past award recipients.

McFadden talked about
the controversy at Notre Dame and he said pro-life Catholics never have to worry about Christendom getting into hot water with students or alumni by honoring or inviting abortion advocates to deliver the commencement address."

Bishops organizing to enforce Canon 915 in DC

What good would it do if good Bishop Naumann of Kansas City enforces a ban on pro-abortion Governor Sebelius' reception of Communion if, when she is HHS Secretary, she can receive publicly in Washington? Thankfully, Archbishop Wuerl and Bishop Loverde of Virginia have agreed to back up the enforcement of Canon 915 in DC as well. Maybe the bishop of Maryland had better get on board, to be sure.
'This will send the message to other bishops that if they choose to pronounce members of Congress from their dioceses unfit for communion, their authority will be respected in D.C. and across the Potomac in Virginia.
The ramifications are enormous: For example, if Sean Cardinal O'Malley of Boston stated publicly that Sen. John Kerry was in violation of Canon 915, he would not have been able to receive communion at Pope Benedict XVI's Mass in Washington, D.C., a year ago. Rep. Nancy Pelosi would not have been able to celebrate her elevation to speaker of the House with a special Mass at Trinity College,if Archbishop Neiderhauer had found her wanting according to the standard of Canon 915.'

Obama has Money for Chinese abortions nothing for abstinence

from Citizen Link. . .
Abstinence Education Funding Cut; Population Fund Gets $50M

The U.S. Senate Budget Committee has defeated an amendment that would have saved a place in the 2010 budget for Title V abstinence-education grants.
The monstrous stimulus bill recently passed by Congress curiously left out funding for Title V, which is set to expire June 30.
However, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) will be well-funded in the months to come.
The funding was cut under President George W. Bush because of the group's participation in forced abortion and sterilization policies. The Department of State has announced $50 million will go to UNFPA in 2009.
"Americans don't want their money going to an organization which works hand-in-glove with … population control police as they drag women off for forced abortions and forced sterilizations," Steven Mosher, president of the Population Research Institute, said in a statement.

What a sense of priorities. My friends who do abstinence education on Long Island, mostly in poor minority-dominated neighborhoods where they are warmly received, are heartbroken. So many lives were turned around, so much hope given to young people caught in the sexualized culture wars. Now we will be paying to kill Chinese babies born and unborn, via the UN Population Fund.

Amy Welborn praises the Canon 915 enforcers

And pray for her conversion back to the faith.

Killer Tiller may stil llose medical lisence

"Just after a jury in Sedgwick County, Kansas, returned not guilty verdicts in the criminal case against late-term abortionist George Tiller, the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts released to the public a petition it filed in December listing eleven allegations against Tiller's license.

According to a statement released by the KSBHA, "Violations alleged include performing an abortion on a fetus that was viable without having a documented referral from another physician not legally or financially affiliated with him; unprofessional or dishonorable conduct or professional incompetency; and commitment of acts likely to deceive, defraud or harm the public."

The KSBHA also indicated that the case they have filed against Tiller is independent from the criminal charges and will proceed in its own merits.

Tiller could have his medical license revoked, suspended, or dramatically restricted, depending on the outcome of the Board's determination."

It's not the justice that we had hoped for, but if he is at least put out of the baby killing business, many lives will be spared.
Ir reminds me of my OB asking if me if Bill Baird's abortion mill closing was the answer to my prayers (they shared a building and I told my OB I had picketed the building before my pregnancy). "Not entirely, since I'm praying for his conversion, but it's a step in the right direction".

Photos from Youth 4 Life last Saturday

We had a small but deeply involved audience in person, but over 500 people watched us via the live feed
on AirMaria. The most inspiring aspect of the conference besides the obvious youthful enthusiasm was the powerful talks give by the young priests and seminarians. The faithful religious men and women of the religious life came out in force as well as the beautiful, flourishing young families. It was an evening of solidarity and encouragement, on a delightful spring afternoon.

In these photos you see: the Top Life Club leading the singing of the final hymn "Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?", me giving my second-ever Power-point presentation (the first was earlier the sam
e day), Friar Didacus covering a talk for our life webcast, Michael Smith taking his son Tommy whom he had described in his talk, off the stage, where he was singing with the sisters, and a holy mother of 11 seeks more pro-life information.

USCCB clarifes Church position on Reiki

After years of arguing with deceived Catholics about the Reiki classes performed by sisters on Long Island in schools, retreat houses and health facilities, I finally have a definitive source to quote on why it's not for Catholics. Thank you, bishops.
In terms of caring for one's spiritual health, there are important dangers. To use Reiki
one would have to accept at least in an implicit way central elements of the worldview that
undergirds Reiki theory, elements that belong neither to Christian faith nor to natural science.
Without justification either from Christian faith or natural science, however, a Catholic who putshis or her trust in Reiki would be operating in the realm of superstition, the no-man's-land that isneither faith nor science.

9 Superstition corrupts one's worship of God by turning one's religious
feeling and practice in a false direction.

10 While sometimes people fall into superstition through
ignorance, it is the responsibility of all who teach in the name of the Church to eliminate such
ignorance as much as possible.
12. Since Reiki therapy is not compatible with either Christian teaching or scientific
evidence
, it would be inappropriate for Catholic institutions, such as Catholic health carefacilities and retreat centers, or persons representing the Church, such as Catholic chaplains, topromote or to provide support for Reiki therapy.

Take Action to Stop Gov Kathleen Sebelius' nomination as HHS Secretary!

from Judy Brown at the American Life League
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is set to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate this week as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Please join me in calling on our senators to stop this enemy of the preborn.
Please take a moment to call your senators and ask them to reject the nomination of Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to Health and Human Services Secretary.
Please call the Senate switchboard at (202) 224-3121.I know you and I share a feeling of horror at the thought of this rabidly pro-abortion governor in charge of the nation’s healthcare.
Gov. Sebelius has been not only a supporter of abortion access – she has actively promoted the culture of death in Kansas. Sebelius is so wedded to the pro-abortion agenda she
hosted the notorious late-term killer Dr. George Tiller at the Kansas governor’s mansion. (SEE photo below)
Thanks to you and your participation in the
STOP Sebelius campaign, the nation has taken notice of the surge of opposition to Sebelius’ appointment as Health and Human Services Secretary.
But the fight’s not over yet. Gov. Sebelius’ Senate confirmation hearing could come as early as this week.
The Senate’s decision this week will be the deciding factor. Please help us inundate the Senate offices with our voice of outrage.

Sincerely yours in the Lord who IS Life,

What's this about our youth being drafted into Obama's service/

from the Family Research Council
GIVE Him an Inch...
President Obama has said repeatedly that he wants to create an army of volunteers, but who knew he planned on drafting his troops? The GIVE (Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education) Act empowers the President to do just that.

For a piece of legislation as misguided as GIVE, the bill has sailed almost completely uncontested through the House (321-105) and Senate (79-19). Among its more troubling aspects, GIVE (also known as the "Serve America Act" and H.R. 1388) costs roughly $6 billion and makes forced volunteerism a part of young people's curriculum. Maybe you, like the 400 leaders who voted in favor of GIVE, believe that instilling a sense of charity in our teens sounds like a reasonable idea. Unfortunately, the fine print makes it quite clear that this legislation isn't driven by a sense of community service, but rather a liberal ideology that dictates how and whom our children will serve. With Obama bureaucrats directing young people to government-approved charities, it's likely that teenagers will have no opportunity to give back to worthwhile (but pro-family) causes like pregnancy care centers or church food pantries.
Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), a Republicans with real spine, pointed out that the language of the bill is intentionally vague, which could help radical groups advance their agenda with taxpayer dollars "in the name of community service." In an admirable attempt to incorporate some pro-life efforts in the list of approved charities, Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) introduced an amendment to ensure that pregnancy care centers were included. It failed by a 41-56 vote.
Thune wasn't finished yet. To help preserve the tax deduction for charitable giving that President Obama has fought to cut, the South Dakota senator tried to pass a "Sense of the Senate" amendment in opposition to the White House plan. (A "Sense of the Senate" expresses the opinion of the Senate but doesn't make law.) Despite being endorsed by 600 D.C.-based charities, it fell one vote shy (48-49). For an excellent breakdown of H.R. 1388, don't miss RedState's post, "National Service--Soviet Style."

Sebelius banned from communion in Washington

Kansas City Archbishop Naumann has asked Archbishop Wuerl to continue his prohibition of pro-abortion Kathleen Sebelius from communion, and he has agreed. Now it's time for a few more bishops to do the same, and clean up Congress, or at least leave fewer public sinners on the Communion line.

Travesty of justice: Killer Tiller gets away with it!

from Operation Rescue
TILLER FOUND NOT GUILTY!

March 27th, 2009
Operation Rescue vows to continue efforts to bring Tiller to justice
Wichita, KS - Today a jury of three men and three women found George Tiller not guilty on 19 charges of illegal abortions.
Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue releases the following statement:
Justice has been denied! Today a jury found late-term abortionist George R. Tiller not guilty of having committed 19 illegal abortions in 2003. While disappointed in the verdict, we at Operation Rescue are not deterred in our commitment to one day bring Tiller to justice. The 19 charges that Tiller faces were only a small fraction of the illegal activity that we believe and have documented that occurs at Tiller's Wichita abortion clinic. On behalf of the pre-born children wrongly killed by Tiller and his associates, we vow to press on until Tiller is finally held accountable to the law and his late-term abortion mill is permanently closed.
[
Listen to audio file of this statement]
Cheryl Sullenger, Senior Policy Advisor for Operation Rescue releases the following statement:
We must remember that these are the weakest charges that could have been brought by the state. There were thirty criminal charges filed by former Attorney General Phill Kline, which were much stronger that were dismissed on jurisdictional grounds without having been considered on their merits. While we are disappointed by the verdict, we are far from surprised.
We thank Assistant Attorney General Barry Disney for the job that he tried to do. He did the best he could with the hand he was dealt. We wish he had been dealt a stronger hand. We are committed to continuing our efforts to bring Tiller to justice and we are confident that justice will one day prevail.

Fr Frank Pavone comments on this outrage on his blog here.
Abortionist George Tiller’s trial is over and the jury has rendered a verdict of “not guilty.”

It’s what we mean by a culture of death…The way we operate, at every level of society, favors death. The poison of abortion permeates the electoral process (resulting in public officials who support the killing); it permeates the educational institutions (who then invite and honor pro-abortion public officials); and the courts (putting people like Pastor Walter Hoye in jail and acquitting killers like George Tiller.)
Tiller belongs in jail. We have to understand once and for all that abortionists care nothing about pesky provisions of the law like Kansas has to introduce some slight measure of restraint (if we can even call it that) into the process of late-term abortion.
After all, if these abortionists can kill late-term babies and throw their bodies in incinerators in the back room after sometimes having the parents take locks of hair from these children after they are dressed up in post-abortion baptismal garments – well, then, their consciences are dead.
In reality, Mr. Tiller, you are not acquitted at all. You’re killing babies, and the verdict of the court of heaven is against you.

Fr Reese's five reasons why Obama should speak at Notre Dame

This type of twisted logic is nothing but evidence of a good education used to wrong ends. Being able to form an argument means nothing if you depart from revealed truth.
The president has been a material cooperator in the slaughter of millions of innocents by his 100% pro-death voting record and his opposition of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. . Whether or not he spoke against the bishops or had an abortion himself is immaterial.
"I would argue that having Obama as a commencement speaker and giving him an honorary degree does not violate Catholics in Political Life because:
In his personal life, Obama has never acted in defiance of the fundamental moral principle that abortion is wrong.
Publicly, Obama has never spoken out against the fundamental moral principle that abortion is wrong. (you better start watching Fox News, obviously you're watching CNN)
He supports legal restrictions on third trimester abortions with a health-of-the-mother exemption. (loophole wide enough to drive a truck through)
Although he does not believe that other abortions can be made illegal, he supports programs to reduce the number of abortions. (Name one!)
Notre Dame is not honoring Obama because of his views on abortion but because he is President of the United States, as has been made clear by the Rev. John Jenkins, Notre Dame's president."

Judgement Day comes early

This article from Christian Newswire mentions how a tragedy for a man who made his fortune killing babies may help serve to remind him that life is precious and that the day of judgement may delay for some but it comes sooner than we think.
Pray for this man's conversion. May this tragedy be the first step.

Family of Owner of the Nation's Largest Privately Owned Abortion Chain, Dies in Montana Plane Crash
MEDIA ADVISORY, Mar. 24 /Christian Newswire/ -- Some of you may have seen the major news story of the private plane that crashed into a Montana cemetery, killing 7 children and 7 adults.
But what the news sources fail to mention is that the Catholic Holy Cross Cemetery owned by Resurrection Cemetery Association in Butte - contains a memorial for local residents to pray the rosary, at the 'Tomb of the Unborn'. This memorial, located a short distance west of the church, was erected as a dedication to all babies who have died because of abortion.

What else is the mainstream news not telling you? The family who died in the crash near the location of the abortion victim's memorial, is the family of Irving 'Bud' Feldkamp, owner of the largest for-profit abortion chain in the nation.

Family Planning Associates was purchased four years ago by Irving Moore "Bud" Feldkamp III, owner of Allcare and Hospitality Dental Associates and CEO of Glen Helen Raceway Park in San Bernardino. The 17 California Family Planning clinics perform more abortions in the state than any other abortion provider - Planned Parenthood included - and they perform abortions through the first five months of pregnancy.

Although Feldkamp is not an abortionist, he reaps profits of blood money from the tens of thousands of babies that are killed through abortions performed every year at the clinics he owns. His business in the abortion industry was what enabled him to afford the private plane that was carrying his family to their week-long vacation at The Yellowstone Club, a millionaires-only ski resort.

The plane went down on Sunday, killing two of Feldkamp's daughters, two sons-in-law and five grandchildren along with the pilot and four family friends. The plane, a single-engine turboprop flown by Bud Summerfield of Highland, crashed into the Catholic cemetery and burst into flames, only 500 ft. from its landing destination. All aboard were killed.

The cause of the crash is a mystery. The pilot, who was a former military flier who logged over 2,000 miles, gave no indication to air traffic controllers that the aircraft was experiencing difficulty when he asked to divert to an airport in Butte. Witnesses report that the plane suddenly nosedived toward the ground with no apparent signs of a struggle. There was neither a cockpit voice recorder nor a flight data recorder onboard, and no radar clues into the planes final moments because the Butte airport is not equipped with a radar facility. Some speculate that the crash was due to ice on the wings, but this particular plane model has been tested for icy weather and experts have stated that ice being the cause is unlikely.

In my time working for Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, I helped organize and conduct a weekly campaign where youth activists stood outside of Feldkamp's mini-mansion in Redlands holding fetal development signs and raising community awareness regarding Feldkamp's dealings in child murder for profit. Every Thursday afternoon we called upon Bud and his wife Pam to repent, seek God's blessing and separate themselves from the practice of child killing.

We warned him, for his children's sake, to wash his hands of the innocent blood he assisted in spilling because, as Scripture warns, if "you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you". (Ezekiel 35:6)

A news source states that Bud Feldkamp visited the site of the crash with his wife and their two surviving children on Monday. As they stood near the twisted and charred debris talking with investigators, light snow fell on the tarps that covered the remains of their children.

I don't want to turn this tragic event into some creepy spiritual 'I told you so' moment, but I think of the time spent outside of Feldkamp's - Pam Feldkamp laughing at the fetal development signs, Bud Feldkamp trying not to make eye contact as he got into his car with a small child in tow - and I think of the haunting words, 'Think of your children.' I wonder if those words were haunting Feldkamp as well as he stood in the snow among the remains of loved ones, just feet from the 'Tomb of the Unborn'?

I only hope and pray that in the face of this tragedy, Feldkamp recognizes his need for repentance and reformation. I pray that God will use this unfortunate catastrophe to soften the hearts of Bud and Pam and that they will draw close to the Lord and wash their hands of the blood of thousands of innocent children, each as precious and irreplaceable as their own.

"I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Choose life, then." (Deut. 30:19)

Obama to be commencement speaker at Notre Dame

We are working on a list of potential colleges for Gabriela to consider visiting this summer. Last night, we visited Providence College, which has a lovely campus on a hill overlooking the small college-centered city. It seems to have a strong Catholic presence, and if it had a nursing program, it would be on her list.
However, Notre Dame will never be. The most pro-death president of all time will be giving this year's commencement address.
My daughter would never attend Notre Dame after this disgraceful decision!

Pope John Paul to be beatified next April

There is some debate on the exact date, since April 2, 2010 is Good Friday, however, it seems that our dear departed Pope John Paul the Great will be beatified next Easter Season.
At the NCRegister Blog they are suggesting that he be beatified on the fifth annivesary of his death, on Divine Mercy Sunday (not by the calendar, but by the feast day he created).
I agree heartily. A perfect day.

Time magazine discusses exorcisms

Exoricism is making a comeback in the Church, and this journalist investigated the Legion of Christ course on exorcism in Rome. He discussed with Time Magazine how the subject was treated by priests immediately after Vatican II and today. "
"You write about how most priests don't even like to talk about exorcism, that they find the idea distasteful. Why is that? There's a lot of taboo when it comes to the devil and evil itself. Parishioners don't want to hear about Satan and evil and sin. Father Gary, he's in his 50s, and he was ordained in the late '70s. During that period, you had a lot of turmoil in conjunction with Vatican II shaking up the church and getting rid of many very old traditions, the Latin mass and those sorts of things. But you have to look at priests themselves as being creatures of their environment. Coupled with that were all this these new psychoanalytical approaches that were uncovering a lot of things that in the past were considered to be in the realm of the spiritual. I think a lot of priests saw that and said, Let's just keep becoming more modern and more open and don't worry about all these "medieval things."
And as a result, many exorcists are marginalized within the church.I had priests tell me that their superiors belittled the fact that they were exorcists. Interestingly, though, the newer generation of priests are more responsive to the reality of the devil, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that John Paul II was and Pope Benedict XVI is a little more conservative, so the younger seminarians are a little less apt to ridicule. The older priests of Father Gary's generation didn't want to talk about it.

"A diocesan press release yesterday stated that the bishop would not heed Misericordia's request for a meeting "until they comply with his request for a public release of specific information on how the institution teaches Catholic morality regarding sexuality and homosexuality, and how it is adhering to the four essential characteristics of a Catholic institution of higher learning."
The dispute between the bishop and the school began after Martino condemned Misericordia's decision to host a prominent homosexualist writer, Keith Boykin, for two speaking arrangements at the school. The recent statement explained that it had come to the bishop's attention that Boykin took the opportunity to discuss advocacy for issues such as same-sex "marriage," and to address the intersection of religion and sexuality; Catholic Church teaching on homosexual behavior, however, was not presented."

Deacon Keith Fournier calls him "a bishop who knows how to bishop" in this editorial at Catholic Online.

Campbell's soup is no longer wholesome

Tens of thousands of American Family Association supporters have expressed their disgust with Campbell Soup Company supporting the gay agenda. AFA asked the company to remain neutral in the culture war, but Campbell's Soup refused.
The company said it will continue supporting homosexuals.According to the Media Daily News, "A Campbell spokesman was quoted as saying, 'Our plans for the Swanson brand include additional placements in The Advocate'." For example, Campbell Soup Company bought two, two-page advertisements in three of the past four issues of the nation's largest homosexual magazine, The Advocate.
In one of the ads, Campbell Soup Company featured two lesbians and their son. According to the company's website, the lesbians are married. Not only did such ads cost Campbell's a lot of money, they also sent a message that homosexual parents constitute a family.
Campbell Soup Company is openly helping homosexual activists push their agenda, which, in turn, shows the company's approval of homosexuality. Moms, it's time for us to get involved!
Take Action!
Send an e-mail to Campbell Soup Company President Douglas Conant. Tell him you are disappointed that Campbell's Soup has decided to support the homosexual agenda in the culture war.
After sending your e-mail, please call Campbell Soup Company (1-800-257-8443) and their Swanson division (1-800-442-7684) and express your disappointment that Campbell's is supporting same-sex marriage.

While I do not know what the future holds for Lori and I ...I do know the God who holds the future in the palm of His hand.
If the Lord says the same and He is leading you to get involved ...Below is a list of ways to help that will greatly benefit my wife and I at this time.

- That our trip to Washington D.C. will accomplish God's will.
- That our time in court will glorify God's name and reveal His Son in me.
- That the African-American community will heed God's call to step out of the darkness into His marvelous light.

Second, write Alameda County District Attorney Tom Orloff and ask that he open an investigation into my prosecution.Ask the D.A. to investigate the following:
- The possible prosecution of Jackie Barbic for perjury.
- Whether there was prosecutorial misconduct in charging me with using “force, threat of force, or physical obstruction” against clinic escorts without any evidence.
- Whether there was prosecutorial misconduct in continuing to prosecute me for those crimes in the face of mounting evidence that they were totally lacking in factual basis.
Here is how to contact the Alameda County District Attorney:

Tom Orloff

His body is slowing down, but his mind is miles ahead

I've always wondered what it would be like to be paralyzed with my mind intact; like Jim Levitt whose physical abilities are limiting his movement to only his fingertips, but whose mind is watching, with trepidation, the slow progress of the Culture of Death.

The 71-year-old, says the story, is “appalled by the groundswell of support for what he calls an immoral and ‘pointless’ approach to pursuing cures when so many other routes such as adult stem cell research already have shown promise.”
It quotes him saying: “If experimenting on just one embryo would lead to a cure for me, I absolutely would not do it. It’s murder of a human being.”
ALS — Lou Gehrig’s disease — causes loss of control of motor skills, and can affect a person’s ability to speak, swallow and, in the end, breathe.
Now that's a Catholic! We need more holy men like Jim to battle Obama's reign of terror on the unborn.

Lila Rose would have protected Danielle

On her interactive map of Planned Parenthood Businesses which fail to report child rape, Lila Rose notes this nightmarish case in West Hartford. Danielle, a frightened runaway, is detained in this couple's home in West Hartford for a year. She is raped by the man, who was a friend of her stepfather, and when she conceived she is brought to Planned Parenthood for an abortion. Planned Parenthood is legally obliged to report the statutory rape, and fails to do so. Danielle's captivity would have come to an end if they had. Instead, she endures more rape and continues to be imprisoned by Gualt and his girlfriend until law enforcement tracks her down using the DNA from the unborn baby as evidence. This shocked the rapist's defence attorney.
According to Eyewitness News 3:

"In the warrant, police allege that the 15-year-old girl had an abortion and that Gault may have been the father.
The warrant says Danielle had the abortion at Planned Parenthood in West Hartford but would not identify the father.(or was she willing to name her accuser and was she counseled to keep it quiet in order to obtain the abortion, as has been done in numerous other Live Action undercover videos?) Police obtained a search warrant to test the fetus. It had been sent to a diagnostic lab in Massachusetts, which is standard procedure.
Raff reported that the warrant claims that DNA tests implicate Gualt."

THIS abuse of young women is what Lila Rose is trying to stop with her undercover videos.
THIS is her 'agenda'. She would have saved Danielle from her rapist.
What is Planned Parenthood's agenda, to keep the relationship going?

Tuscon AZ Planned Parenthood covers up a felony child abuse case

Turning up the heat on Sebelius

According to Deal Hudson, it gets pretty uncomfortable for an HHS nominee Sebelius when one of her biggest supporters is on trial for a felony. Dr George Tiller the baby Killer is on trial for performing illegal late term abortions. He funded Sebelius's campaign and she helped him evade the law, or when that didn't work, she vetoed laws which would cut into his business. She feted him in the Governor's mansion, and suddenly she want to distance herself from him and convince the public she is responsible for a 10% drop in abortion rates in Kansas.
She, like Obama never saw an abortion she didn't like. She, like Obama has affiliations with notorious killers. Sounds like an Obama nominee. If David Ogden, the child pornography lawyer, or the tax cheat Geithner who was confirmed as Treasury Secretary didn't have a problem, why should a baby killer's best friend not receive the nod from the Senate?
Just be who you are Gov Sebelius, our interest is in the bottom line, not our eternal souls these days.

Condoms, AIDS, and the truth

We have to dig up this debate every time the Holy Father visits Africa. The fact is that condoms promote not prevent AIDS, and only abstinence prevents it, but you will never see a liberal accept that. Read this story in the NY Times. They refuse to be dissuaded from their sexual agenda by the facts. Sigh.

The National Catholic Register blog has the truth about condoms and AIDS.
“Condom promotion in Africa has been a disaster,” Hearst said.
Nearly every country on the continent has vigorously promoted condoms to stem the tide of the AIDS epidemic there. But the epidemic has only grown larger.
Uganda, on the other hand, has experienced the greatest decline in HIV prevalence of any country in the world, according to the Heritage Foundation. The Ugandan public education campaign against AIDS mentioned condoms, but emphasized abstinence."

Pro-life health professionals organized

from Barbara Kralis
'Coalition of Pro-Life Health Professionals' launch a website to counter Recission of HHS Conscience Regulation.
A coalition of pro-life medical organizations just launched this website,Freedom2Care.org , which serves the essential function of letting patients, pharmacists and other professionals to submit their comments demanding that the federal regulations protecting conscience not be revoked....
The Conscience Regulation, which was finalized on December 18, 2009, serves to raise awareness of laws which are already in place to protect the conscience of health care providers but it also adds strength to the laws in place. It brings the weight of enforcement, by giving recourse to those whose conscience was violated where there did not used to be any. Even though the effects of the conscience regulation have not even begun to take their potential effect, the Obama administration is moving with aggressive swiftness to rescind it.

On March 10th, the Federal Register went live with its posting of the rescission of the conscience regulation - including in it a place for people to register their comments.

Warming up to Spring and St Patrick's Day

It just isn't spring until it's St Patrick's Day, and here's the song which helps me celebrate. I was fortuante to have been in the front row when Tommy Makem sang at St Anselm in 1982, when he reached over me to kiss a lady in the second row.
He had a rapier wit and wonderful stage presence, he has remained my favorite Irish folk singer ever since. When he diedin 2007 I did a memorial post here.
Enjoy.

Do Republicans know who they are?

Some of the most powerful quotes come from movies. Cal Thomas finds wisdom in Moonstruck, to lead the Republican Party back to their core values.
" In the 1987 film "Moonstruck," Rose Castorini, played by Olympia Dukakis, walks home accompanied by a man she met in a restaurant. When he asks her if he can come in, she declines. When he asks why, she responds, "Because I'm married and because I know who I am."

On a political level, that seems to be the problem these days with the Republican Party. Many Republicans have forgotten who they are and what they are supposed to stand for. This is why there was such a strong reaction to Rush Limbaugh's speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington recently. Limbaugh tried to remind Republicans what they once believed in and of the ideas that won them elections."
Republicans are the conservative, pro-life party, they never win elections when they try to be liberal, yet they were still talking about cutting off the moral conservatives after this election where they took a beating after defeating all true conservatives with their liberal-skewed primary sytem.

Franciscan Friars provide comfort to 40 Days for Life

"40 Days for Life is a long road. Here on Day 16, itmay seem that an end is not in sight. There are manymiles (literally, for those of us on the road visitingdozens of 40 Days for Life locations :-) to go beforewe rest. But as more people like you are discovering, this isnot a road that we walk alone. God is always with us!
"There are times when we doubt our effectiveness,"said John in Methuen, Massachusetts. But one cold, windy day recently brought encouragement just when itwas needed the most."

As we started to gather, a single file procession of Franciscans came walking towards us. I was truly inspired when I spotted them coming."The Franciscans' grey robes told John that this was aspecial moment. "God seemed to be whispering to us,'I'll take care of things. All I ask of you is toremain faithful.'
And He did."A group of 23 faithful pro-lifers celebrated the daywith the prayer. "Methuen was alive," John said."Hundreds of cars going by witnessed this prayerful gathering, some tooting their horns showing solidarity. Needless to say, there were many grateful hearts there that day. It is a joy to participate in 40 Days for Life."

Nightmare of mercy killing

Dr Davenport, an OB in California paints a horrifying picture in the following scenario of the not-too distant future when socialized health care removes a physician's ability to make ethical decisions.
This is already happening. My 82 year old aunt who is reasonably healthy though on dialysis for 3 years, was admitted to a Catholic hospital this week for complications related to gallstones. The doctor asked her children if they wanted to treat her, or let her die of her symptoms.
They were horrified. She was treated and is doing much better.
We are in the Brave New World of Aldous Huxley.

"You feel vaguely uncomfortable as you are placed in a darkened room in the Comfort Care wing of the hospital. In moments of lucidity, you wonder if you shouldn't have some oxygen, an IV or SOMETHING! But the appropriate therapy, kidney dialysis, is not on the approved list of treatments for patients over 65, having been deemed too expensive. The new regulations from the Department of Health and Human Services were presented just last month to your hospital's Futile Care Committee. It was decided at the highest levels that for those over 65 years of age, renal dialysis would not be a beneficial treatment, that the alternatives of a kidney transplant were too expensive, and that your quality of life on chronic dialysis would be too diminished.

The real threat bill 899

Stop CT’s Same-Sex ‘Marriage’ Bill!

Bill Donohue on the Pulling of RB1098

CONNECTICUT ANTI-CATHOLIC BILL PULLED

The bill that would allow the state legislature in Connecticut to reconfigure the governing structure of the Catholic Church has been pulled. Introduced by Rep. Michael Lawlor and Sen. Andrew McDonald, the bill was withdrawn at the behest of the person who proposed it, Tom Gallagher; he is a contributor to the National Catholic Reporter, a left-wing Catholic newspaper. Attorney General Richard Blumenthal will now review the constitutionality of the bill.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue responded as follows:

“Every pre-law undergraduate knows that what Lawlor and McDonald tried to pull off—in stealth fashion—was flagrantly unconstitutional. For their fascist stunt, they should at least be censured by their colleagues. Ideally, they should resign or be forced out of office.

“The big losers are the Catholic left-wing activists who pushed for this measure. To be specific, Voice of the Faithful, a dissident Catholic group comprised mainly of senior citizens, has been promoting a lay Catholic takeover of the Catholic Church for many years. Also, their ideological kinfolk at the National Catholic Reporter republished an article by Gallagher calling for an aggressive civil law approach to parish governance.

“Lawlor, McDonald, Gallagher, Voice of the Faithful, and the National Catholic Reporter totally underestimated the reaction of rank-and-file Catholics. Chalk up a big victory for Catholics who are loyal to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church and to the religious liberty provisions of the First Amendment.”

The story of Fr Michael Fay

Bettnett has a great post about Fr Fay the priest who spent 1.5 million dollars supporting a lavish homosexual lifestyle in New York City while pastor in Darien, and whose embezzlement was uncovered in 2006, by Fr Madden who was punished for playing the whistleblower. This is allegedly the origin of the move by parishoners to demand laymen run church funds. Clericalism is a serious problem in the Church, which must be dealt with, however, getting the anti-Catholic government involved is hardly the answer. We hope.
Tragically, the priestly sex abuse scandals were never handled in the Church until the frustrated laymen went to the media. In most cases dioceses are still in denial that there is a serious homosexual problem in the Church, which according to the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, was responsible for 80% of the child abuse. I attended sessions of diocesan VIRTUS training which denied this independent study. No reform can take place until the truth is acknowleged and justice is served.

The state of CT has closed public hearing on 1098

Thank you for your email regarding Senate Bill 1098, An Act Modifying Corporate Laws Relating to Certain Religious Corporations. I appreciate you taking the time to express your concerns to me.

As you may know, this bill was proposed at the request of someparishioners in the state who were pressing for parishioners (Voice of the Faithless) to play a greater role in church governance following two cases of financial impropriety(good ask the government to handle church finances, they are SO squeaky-clean!!) One case was Fr Michael Fay from Darien who spent 1.5 million on a lavish lifestyle for himself and his male lover. Getting the government involved will only help more money go missing.
at Fairfield County churches. The chairmen of the Judiciary Committee had not yet decided whether or not they were supportive of the measure but were willing to hold a public hearing to information from all interested parties. Since the announcement of the public hearing, many constituents have written(they are jamming the phone lines and overflowing our junk mail boxes) and called and many questions about constitutionality have been raised.

Below is a statement from the chairmen of the Judiciary Committee regarding this proposed legislation: "For reasons that are unclear, Connecticut has had generations-old lawson the books singling out particular religions and treating themdifferently from other religions in our statutes.(it's called anti-Catholicism) That doesn't seem right. (So you were going to fix it by punishing the Catholic Church)
In fact, many of our existing corporate laws dealing with particular religious groups appear to us to be unconstitutional under the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. If that is correct, any changes to that law would likely also be unconstitutional.

With that in mind, it would serve no useful purpose to have a conversation about changing the laws that govern existing Roman Catholicc orporations until we know if any of these existing laws are constitutional. (translation: we thought we could sneak it in but Bishop Lori blew the whistle).

At the request of the proponents who are advocating this legislation, we have decided to cancel the public hearing for tomorrow, table any further consideration of this bill for the duration of this session, and ask the Attorney General his opinion regarding the constitutionality of the existing law that sets different rules for five named separate religions.(translation: we're running scared)

We think it would be more appropriate to invite representatives from all religious denominations around the state together with legal scholars onthis topic to participate in a forum regarding the current law. Such a conversation would be more appropriate to have when the legislature is not in session and other more important issues, such as the current fiscal crisis, are resolved. (you decided it wasn't worth the trouble to put your hand in the Church's till)We intend to do that once we have the benefit of the Attorney General's opinion.

In the meantime, we think it would be most beneficial if the proponents who requested these changes and church officials meet together privately to see if they can come to a resolution on their own. Open and honest communication between these two groups could only help. (so why are you closing the public hearing?)
For our part,we intend to reach out to (protect ourselves) representatives of the Catholic Conference and continue the discussion that began in 2008 on this issue. We hope they will agree to meet with us."(don't worry, they're coming anyway). As you will see from that statement, the Judiciary Committee will no longer be pursuing this bill and will be working to address the many questions that have been raised as a result of its introduction. (so why did you think Catholics would take this lying down? We may play dead when it comes to the Morning After Pill in our hospitals, but leave our money alone!)
In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me again if I can be of assistance with any other matters.

Sincerely,
Senator Donald E. Williams, Jr.

Catholic League has booklet debunking "Angels and Demons"

from the Catholic League
A booklet on the upcoming movie, “Angels & Demons,” written by Catholic League president Bill Donohue, is now available. “Angels & Demons”: More Demonic Than Angelic debunks the myths, lies and smears told about the Catholic Church. The film, which opens May 15, is based on Dan Brown’s book, Angels & Demons. Ron Howard directs the movie.

The booklet offers a detailed account of the lies told not only about the Catholic Church, but about many other issues, events and persons mentioned by Brown-Howard. In particular, it sets the record straight on the relationship between Catholicism and science; it has a separate section on Galileo. It closes with evidence of the anti-Catholic agenda of those associated with the film.

It is available for $5, including shipping and handling.

Creative Minority Report: Most Important Story of the Day

This is what abortion looks like

Obama has some spare cash to throw away. . .

so he's investing in useless research which has never produced any results.
Oh, but it does kill babies, that must be the attraction.
Apparently, he never met an abortion method he didn't like.

from the Catholic League
OBAMA TO OKAY KILLING EMBRYOS

President Barack Obama is expected to lift restrictions on federal funding of embryonic stem cell research
today. Speaking against this decision is Catholic League president Bill Donohue:

“When President Bush placed restrictions on embryonic stem cell research, there was no way for scientists to approximate the effectiveness inherent in embryonic stem cells. But that is no longer the case. Last fall, Harvard University stem cell researcher Konrad Hochedlinger announced that he was able to coax adult cells to regress into an embryonic state. Scientists everywhere were ecstatic.

“It is precisely because there are ethical alternatives to killing embryos that President Obama’s decision is doubly flawed: (a) it is immoral to intentionally destroy nascent human life, and (b) it is even more irresponsible to do so when morally acceptable alternatives exist.

“Obama has stepped on a slope so slippery that many of his supporters may eventually regret he did so. It is not for nothing that Germany has the most rigorous ethical guidelines on human research. Our model should be 21st century Germany—not 20th century Germany.”

Bishop Vasa says vaccines from fetal cells not morally neutral

The good bishop mentioned that he was opening up a can of worms, but he forged ahead valiantly to explain to Oregoneons that vaccines like the MMR are made with aborted fetal cells and that Catholics should seek alternatives.

Last week, I included the statement from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith on this issue. In reality the Congregation used the vaccine issue as an example rather than addressing the issue directly: “Thus, for example, danger to the health of children could permit parents to use a vaccine which was developed using cell lines of illicit origin, while keeping in mind that everyone has the duty to make known their disagreement and to ask that their healthcare system make other types of vaccines available.”

Thank you Bishop Vasa for speaking the truth that many have discovered and tried to share with others, often meeting with denial and disbelief.
Catholics DO have what qualifies for a religious exemption to such shots in the 48 states where exemptions are granted.
The only problem is that the alternative vaccines can be next to impossible to find.
A good resource for which vaccines do not contain aborted fetal cells is Children of God for Life.

What happens to failed Catholic schools

They become charter schools, with the same staff, the same philosophy, and the same books. Different uniforms, and no prayers. but really very much the same as before. This is good for the children who would be thrown to the wolved in dangerous inner city schools.
How sad that Catholic schools are closing when they are needed most to stem the tide of secularism.

"The seven Catholic-turned-charter schools in Washington are at the cusp of what is becoming a popular exit strategy for urban parochial schools nationwide facing plummeting enrollment and untenable operating costs. In New York, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg unveiled a plan last month to transform four Catholic schools in Brooklyn and Queens into charters, which are publicly financed but independently operated. In San Antonio, a major charter school operator is lobbying the archdiocese to consider charters if it is forced to close schools."

The origin of the attack on the Church in Connecticut

Friar Roderick posted a reminder on the Curt Jestor that this recent attack on the Catholic Church is simply part of the plan to marginalize and weaken those who would defend the Traditonal Family.
Brian Brown, head of the Connecticut Family Institute is a true warrior for the family, and speaks eloquently to this point in this video.

Deacon Fournier on the "Battle of Bridgeport"

Deacon Fournier describes this as the proverbial "shot accross the bow". A priest I spoke with today said that it's an attempt to flush out the enemies of aetheism and communism, so that the hostile adminstration can deal with us. one by one. No doubt this legislation will not succeed. Yet. But this may be the beginning of the end of religious freedom in America.

This bill violates the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. It forces a radical reorganization of the legal, financial, and administrative structure of our parishes.

This is contrary to the Apostolic nature of the Catholic Church because it disconnects parishes from their Pastors and their Bishop. Parishes would be run by boards from which Pastors and the Bishop would be effectively excluded.

This bill, moreover, is a thinly-veiled attempt to silence the Catholic Church on the important issues of the day, such as same-sex marriage.

The State has no right to interfere in the internal affairs and structure of the Catholic Church. This bill is directed only at the Catholic Church but could someday be forced on other denominations. The State has no business controlling religion.

Fr Eueteneuer shines the moral spotlight in Kansas

Brownback - Turncoat

I am not a politician, I am a priest. So I would like to give my priestly perspective about the recent endorsement of Senator Sam Brownback for the candidacy of Kathleen Sebelius for Secretary of Health and Human Services: Senator Brownback's cowardly betrayal of his Catholic faith is even more damaging than his political permission for this renegade to take office.

The situation is atrocious. An extremist abortion hack (called the most pro-abortion governor in the nation by many), who falsely calls herself "Catholic," is given the opportunity to preside over the nation's healthcare system and normalize abortion even further; this radical is then endorsed by a US senator who also calls himself "Catholic" and who, many believe, wants her job back home when she becomes the abortion queen in DC.

With pro-lifers like Senator Sam Brownback, who needs pro-aborts?

Moral theologians can work out what level of cooperation in evil the Senator's endorsement represents - he is, after all, an influential senator whose opposition, if he had given it, may very well have stopped her nomination. Yet, those of us who do not breathe the rarified air of Washington DC and who have dedicated our lives to defending the sanctity of human life understand one thing: any covenant with the abortion industry or its promoters is consent to the killing.
As a convert to the Catholic Faith, Senator Brownback seems not to understand the Church's profoundly wounded heart with regard the slaughter of the innocents. The Church tells us never to participate in that slaughter, no matter what the cost; we do not give aid and comfort to the enemies of human life, we do not stand by while the innocent are being dragged off to a violent murder, and under no circumstances do we endorse the political aspirations of their executioners.
Politicians who sell the lives of babies for political gains are the worst kind of turncoats.Yet, this Catholic Senator's decision constitutes, I think, a watershed moment for all of us who want to see an end to the immoral industry of baby-killing in our country. We will never be served by the compromise of our principles in any form. Catholicism is the solution to this culture of death. If only Catholics ourselves would fully live up to our doctrine and put it into practice, there would be no "Tiller the Killer"s in Kansas, no partial birth abortions, no immoral sex education in the schools or Planned Parenthoods dominating our public life.

Self-described "Catholics" like Brownback (in politics), Doug Kmiec (in academia), Hannity, Matthews and O'Reilly (in media) and others are not the solution to the problem - they are enablers of the problem. Despite their high-sounding lip service to the culture of life, they are compromisers. They will never end abortion because they don't want to end abortion.I have often said that false Catholics, whether they be Cardinals, politicians or janitors, are the ones who have the most to account for on the Day of Judgment when they will have to account for ignoring Christ in His "least brethren," the unborn. Whether through advocacy of the evil (like Sebelius) or negligence in stopping it (like Brownback), they have blood on their hands. They've been given everything the Church has to offer: the teaching, the sacraments, the example of the saints and the grace to stand against Satan and all his works and all his empty promises. In other words, they know better, and the Biblical warning applies to them: "To whom much has been given, much will be required."
Cowards and turncoats beware.

Sincerely,
Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer,
President, Human Life International
