Update on "It was a sellout"

In my comments about the Sheryl Krow concert for Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital Seminarian Matthew said...
I sent off a letter to the Cardinal Glennon Children's Foundation asking them to stop allowing pro-abortion activisits to take center stage. I encourage others to do the same.
Cardinal Glennon Children's Foundation

So I called the above number, and voiced my alarm that a Catholic children's hospital would allow a pro-death singer to perform in their name. She replied smugly, "we already had the event, and it was a sellout".
It certainly was, I told her, a sellout of your Catholic identity. A sellout of the medical profession's hypocratic oath. A sellout for the Culture of Death.
May almighty God have mercy on them!

Update: Jay at ProEcclesia has a joke from Billy Crystal at the fundraiser, in which he encourages laughter at Archbishop Burke's refusal to attend the event. This truly is beyond the pale, and he ought to deny their right to use the label 'Catholic' for that hospital.

Leticia ... a sellout she said? I like your response to her. And I really like your blog so much ... you give out important information in the struggle for what is God and good. And you have a wonderful personal-ness to your blog too ... I feel I already know you and your beautiful children! Keep up the good fight!

P.S. Hello! I need your help. Over the past couple of weeks I've been blogging about some serious issues and slowly but surely I've become locked out of my own blog. Now I cannot get logged on - even when I log in to post comments on someone else's blog. So I'm posting this comment on the blogs I haunt. There's no explanation and no one can fix the problem so I'm asking for prayers. Please feel free to post prayers at my blog in the comments so that maybe the word will get out - since I can't post I can't ask for help on my own blog! Thanks so much for your help and God bless! -Michelle Therese

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's a spiritual attack,I've been going through my own lately, as I have some big writing projects upon which I am about to embark, and the 'old man' is just fit to be tied! So, provocations are flying thick and furious, and I haven't been the best about avoiding them!
Keep flinging the holy water, keep your rosary in your hands, and give the devil what for, Michelle Therese!! This static with your blog is a GOOD sign that you are effective, or else why would you be in his crosshairs!
I'll pray for you, and you pray that nothing keeps me from writing, I'll keep you updated on my blogs.

Good for you Leticia for calling that Hospital. Your response was great. Unfortunately, many Catholic Hospitals these days are Catholic in name only. Everytime I get the glossy quarterly magazine from the Hospital in this area, I fume for days about all the Yoga, Reiki and other New Age junk they offer to the community. I always tell myself that I'm going to write a letter to the Archbishop, but then I get sidetracked and forget, that is until the next magazine comes.
There is so much to do, and so little time to do it all!!
