Good for Archbishop Raymond Burke!

He has reluctantly quit the advisory board of a Cardinal Glennon Catholic Children's Hospital over their decision to have a fundraiser with notoriously pro-abortion (and anti-toilet paper)singer Sheryl Crow.
He says it's inconscionable to have a pro-death singer at the fundraiser for children's lives. "Those views are well-documented. Crow is among the most strident and outspoken celebrity supporters of abortion rights and embryonic research. Whether headlining a Rock for Choice concert or the NOW-sponsored March for Women’s Lives, lobbying Iowa legislators to kill a cloning ban or urging Missouri voters to enshrine embryonic research and research cloning as constitutional rights, Crow frequently uses her fame to promote positions contrary to Catholic moral teachings. " Colleen Carroll Campbell, National Review Online
Hurray for a courageous shepherd!!
"Burke described the decision as painful. "I have to answer to God for the responsibilities which I have as archbishop," he said. "For me to remain silent in this situation would be the gravest scandal, because people would get the impression that their spiritual leader also thinks this is just fine." St Louis Post-Dispatch

I sent off a letter to the Cardinal Glennon Children's Foundation asking them to stop allowing pro-abortion activisits to take center stage. I encourage others to do the same.
