Kennedy Brownback Bill dies in Senate

I am devastated to report that the Kennedy Brownback bill which would have given much needed information to parents whose unborn children have a disability, including referrals to adoption agencies, and support groups, was killed in the Senate today. I had great hopes that this bill would reduce the 90% abortion rate of disabled children whose condition is diagnosed before birth.

Hope springs eternal, Leticia, so all is not lost. We'll just have to find another way to give out that information!

Magi, thanks for your encouragement, the spreading of the word that parenting a child with Down syndrome is a blessing is the main purpose I became a blogger.
But it's not over yet, the monies in this bill would be very helpful to many good organizations who are joined with me in this effort.

Yours is as beautiful a reason I've heard for becoming a blogger.
You're in my prayers.
