After being flooded with phone calls from family advocates around the nation, New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer today joined the other 49 governors in issuing a proclamation supporting Thursday’s observance of the National Day of Prayer.
Just remember this when you wonder whether your phone calls will make a difference! I just said that yesterday about my senators, Clinton and Schumer, why bother, they're hopeless liberals! Let me tell you, Elliot Spitzer is just as liberal as they are, and he gave in under pressure! I think we in New York get too defeated by living in a blue state sometimes, we feel hopelessly outvoted.
I sure learned my lesson!
