Jill Stanek has a mesmerizing column on WND in which Abigail Seidman,  the daughter of a pro-abortion zealot describes her journey as the enslaved daughter of a woman in the abortion culture which includes; witchcraft, death goddess worship, drug culture, lesbian, abortion worship.
She was secretly pro-life and though coerced into an abortion by her mother in college, she eventually chose Jesus and the Culture of Life.
 She tells pro-lifers to fight abortion with the facts of post-abortion trauma.

Bishops back out of pro-abortion civil rights coaltion

It seems that civil rights types have defined killing your unborn child a civil right. So, the USCCB has got to re-examine it's relationships with formerly good orgainzations. You have to stay with the times, those who supported a good thing in the sixties, have become those who would destroy the family and thus society today. This is good news that the bishops are aware of this trend and announcing their disapproval by withdrawing their support. I sense that there is much more disassociating yet to be done. Thanks to watchdog Deal Hudson, one more scandalous relationship is severed.

The release stated that the bishops withdrew following the group's published support for the pro-abortion and homosexualist Supreme Court nominee, Solicitor General Elena Kagan, which was pointed out earlier this week by Deal Hudson of Catholic Advocate and reported by LSN Tuesday.


In withdrawing from the coalition, the USCCB "reiterated its commitment to oppose discrimination based on race, religion, sex, ethnicity, disabling condition, or age, and said that these are grave injustices and affronts to human dignity."

Elena Kagan has been described by one pundit as Obama's political "Soulmate". No way should Catholics be supporting someone with the pro-death, anti-family agenda of our president.

Obama's budget is full of abortion funding

Obama just doesn't get it.


Poll after poll (Marist Poll shows that 56% of Americans consider abortion "morally wrong" with people ages 18-30 at a 58% disapproval rate) shows that Americans are increasingly pro-life, and even more Americans don't want their tax dollars spent on funding abortion.


Yet, Obama's proposed 2011 budget doesn't reflect this sentiment. In fact, it does just the opposite, and actually increases taxpayer funding for abortion on-demand both domestically and around the globe.
Under Obama's proposed budget, he asks that American tax dollars are used to:

--Fund the Title X "Family Planning Program" which sends money directly to Planned Parenthood. Obama asked that Title X funding be increased by $10 million this year, which would bring total funding to a staggering $327 million
--Fund Abortions in the District of Columbia because of the loss of the Dornan Amendment

--Fund the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) which promotes Abortion worldwide and works with Population Control officials in China who have promoted Forced Abortions and Sterilizations to enforce their oppressive One-Child Family Planning Policy

--Fund People or Groups that engage in Abortion Litigation under the Legal Services Corporation

Because the truth is, the battle to defend human life in the pending health care bill isn't over, either.
During the pregame Superbowl show, President Obama stated to Katie Couric: "I want to come back [after the Presidents' Day congressional recess] and have a large meeting -- Republicans and Democrats -- to go through, systematically, all the best ideas that are out there, and move it forward."

 We have to keep up the pressure on the White House and Congress to ensure that abortion is not included in health care reform. The abortion lobby is so entrenched within the Democratic Party there is no doubt that they'll do everything they can to get their way.

In fact, the National Organization of Women (NOW) recently urged President Obama to "... hold tight to the values and ideals that he trumpeted" which includes "passing health care reform that recognizes every woman's fundamental right to have access to the full range of health care services, including abortion..."

And President Obama's political arm, Organizing for America, wrote to its members: "It's clear that we're in the fight of our lives to pass real reform" and "we're fighting for our families and our country -- and we don't quit."

Catholic Health Association backs away from Obamacare

This is great news, last week Sr Carol Keehan, the director of Catholic Health Association defended their support of Obamacare on EWTN's "The World Over" despite vigorous attacks from both Judie Brown and Ray Arroyo, over the abortion connection of the bill. She said that CHA had to 'participate in dialogue' with the Obama Administration. Once the bill was law, however, anyone with a brain knows the time of dialog with zealots like Ezekiel Emmanuel would be over.

Now they apppear to be backing out of their support of this bill over abortion, just as several bishops are speaking out against the health care bill.
Pro-life pressure from within the Catholic Church seems to have been responsible for the change. Keep the pressure on!

Senator Kennedy dies of brain cancer

I believe it is entirely appropriate that the day before St Monica's feast day, that Senator Edward Kennedy has gone to meet his Maker. Mother Rose Kennedy was a devout Catholic and no doubt spent many an hour before the Lord praying for a son who had, like St Augustine of Hippo, lost his way. If Ed Kennedy had confessed his sin of supporting abortion when he reformed from his alcoholism after the William Kennedy Smith rape trial, he could easily have become another St Augustine, who went from ribald youth to bishop and doctor of the Church, thanks to St Monica's 28 years of faithful prayers and tears before Our Lord.
We don't know the state of his soul. We can only hope that he had the grace of a thorough confession before his death. I sent him an email begging him to do so.
Here's what we do know.
Few have been given the privileges of the Kennedy family; financially, socially and politically, and as we know to whom much is given, much is expected. How did Edward who has been a US Senator since his twenties, nearly 47 years use the talents given him by the Lord?
He began his career as a pro-life Senator from Massachusetts. In 1971, he affirmed that one can be a pro-life Catholic politician and a good senator in a letter written to the father of a friend of mine in which he stated, "When history looks back to this era it should recognize this generation as one which cared about human beings enough to halt the practice of war, to provide a decent living for every family, and to fulfill its responsibility to its children from the very moment of conception."
Somewhere, Senator Kennedy sold out to the left wing and became the most vociferous anti-life voice of the Senate, attacking excellent Supreme Court nominess Samuel Alito and John Roberts for being faithful Catholics.The Wall Street Journal has an article on how the Kennedy family abandoned their pro-life principles. He is called a 'good friend to the LBQT community'. If he was the Lion of the Senate, he had lost his roar when he abandoned his Catholic morality. Such a tragic misuse of power on the part of a fellow Catholic is maddening, and it is a a grave scandal that the Catholics in Massachusetts kept him in office.
There is however, one area in which the Senator deserves praise. His sister Rosemary Kennedy was mentally challenged, and like their sister, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Kennedy whose work founding Special Olympics, the Senator did much for the disability community. With Republican Senator Sam Brownback, he co-sponsored the "Prenatally Diagnosed Conditions Awareness Act" which provides funds to educate health care professionals and parents whose children are prenatally diagnosed with children who have conditions such as Down syndrome and Spina Bifida. Such children are normally aborted at a heartbreaking rate of 90%, so this was pro-life legislation which was passed unanimously in both houses of Congress, as I described in this article in the National Catholic Register. For this I am grateful to Senator Kennedy and pray that he had the grace of a good confession before dying last night and is on his way to heaven.
Eternal Rest grant to him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him, may he and all the souls of the faithful departed, rest in peace.

Abortion is NOT health care

A key U.S. House committee voted down an amendment late Friday that would have prohibited taxpayer dollars from paying for abortions under health-care reform.

The measure, offered by Reps. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., and Joseph Pitts, R-Pa., failed on a 27-31 vote.

Without such a ban, government and private health plans may be required to offer abortion coverage.

Ashley Horne, federal issues analyst for Focus on the Family Action, said President Barack Obama and the Democratic Congress are not keeping their promises to reduce abortions.

"They have shot down every single attempt in both the House and the Senate to make sure that abortion funding is kept out of the health-care proposal," she explained.

Horne said the language in the health-care reform plan may be confusing, because it does not specifically mention "abortion" coverage. But the rejection of pro-life amendments reveals what the bill truly means.

"The reality is, if this proposal passes, there will be unlimited funding of abortions," she said.
If the bill doesn't prohibit funding abortion, then it is a thinly disguised attempt at passing FOCA.
We will be paying for abortions with our tax dollars.

NEA to stay pro-death

These are your child's teachers, and they voted to use union money to support murder of the unborn. Again.
May I dare to ask what business is it of the National Education Association whether abortion is legal or not? What does it have to do with educating children?
Positively frightening.
During its national convention over the weekend, the National Education Association defeated a measure that would have had it take a neutral stance on abortion. The NEA has long supported abortion, pro-abortion candidates, and sponsored a forum with the former late-term abortion practitioner George Tiller.
On Sunday, NEA delegates defeated a proposal that pro-life teachers and educators hoped would make the group abortion neutral.

PBS true colors

Everytime PBS wants to raise funds they go mainstream; take for example, the lovely Irish trio The Priests whose Christmas concert I enjoyed on my local PBS station. It was interrrupted by calls for donations. I'm certain many Catholics pledged money. You did too, if you paid your taxes.
According to PBS you're a terrorist guilty of killing Tiller if you are part of a prolife organization.
"Despite the noxious theme that describing abortion as the death of a baby enables terrorism, no one – not Terry, not O’Reilly, not a single professional in the pro-life movement – was granted the courtesy of an interview by PBS.
This story has a very disturbing ending. Ken Bode, hired by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting as an ombudsman or viewer’s advocate, lauded the show as "strong and convincing on this point: radical, anti-abortion opponents, including Bill O’Reilly of Fox News, are guilty of promoting domestic terrorism." Bode even said "Now" has established itself for reporting "within the boundaries of fairness and balance mandated by PBS standards."

The American Holocaust Museum: Tiller's Abortion Mill

When I was a teenager, I read a book by Jesuit John Powell "Abortion, the Silent Holocaust" which deeply affected me. Now political cartoonist and commentator, John Francis Borra has a stunning post on his blog Veritatis which draws the parallel between the Nazi Extermination Camps, and their crematorium, and those of the late George Tiller. YES he had a cremetorium too. Borra along with Troy Newman of Operation Rescue wants to purchase Tiller's abortion mill and transform it to a memorial museum to the 60,000 babies he murdered there.

I hope it will bring hope and healing to those who suffered abortions, and sleepless nights to those who have been pro-abortion or just plain indifferent to such a travesty as 50 million Americans murdered since 1973.

George Tiller murdered on his way into church

No readers of my blog would consider me who approved of the action of George Tiller. However, as a pro-lifer I cannot condone the fact that he was was shot and killed on his way to his Reformed Lutheran Church Sunday morning. Violence only begets violence. I pray that Tiller had a moment to repent of his grievous sins before meeting the Just Judge.

Those constitutional rights are forfeited only when crimes have been committed, and the perpetrator is charged and found guilty by a jury of his or her peers in a court of law.
"Tiller recently faced serious charges related to the killing of babies in violation of the law, by the most grotesque procedures administered without anesthetics or compassion. We profoundly regretted the outcome of his legal case, believing the doctor had the blood of countless babies on his hands. Nevertheless, he was acquitted by the court and declared "not guilty" in the eyes of the law. That is our system, and we honor it.
"Our condolences are extended to the Tiller family. The person or persons responsible for his death should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
Joe Schiedler from the Pro-life Action League has a personal memory of George Tiller.
The Pro-Life Action League released the following statement today regarding the death of late-term abortionist Dr. George Tiller:"We deplore the killing of George Tiller on Sunday morning," said Joseph M. Scheidler, national director of the Chicago-based Pro-Life Action League."It has always been my philosophy that we convert abortionists," said Scheidler. "As activists committed to saving lives, we vigorously oppose violence."Scheidler once shared a taxi with Dr. Tiller as both were headed from the airport in New Orleans to the National Abortion Federation Convention. "Tiller apparently recognized me, but did not recall that I was a pro-life activist. He assumed I was another abortionist attending the conference," said Scheidler. "He enthusiastically extolled the value of the ultrasound in performing abortions, and invited me to visit his clinic in Wichita."The following day Scheidler attended Tiller's presentation on the use of ultrasound. By then the doctor had realized that Scheidler was in the opposition camp, and refused to proceed with his presentation until Scheidler left the room."Having sat and talked with George Tiller, I probably feel a little more connection with him than many other pro-lifers might," said Scheidler. "I am adamantly opposed to what he did for a living. But I believe that anyone can come to the truth. Tiller deserved the chance to turn away from the evil of abortion. The NCR Blog has a list of pro-life reactions to this event for which ALL prolife activists will be punished and painted with a broad brush of violence, as we are in this British newspaper, and calls for us to be rounded up and inmprisoned have already reached a crescendo. No longer will we be allowed to pray in front of abortion mills, now as under the Clinton administration, those with rosary beads who pray for women killing their children, will be considered dangerous co-conspirators with Tiller's killer.
We will all pay the price for misguided actions of one isolated man. Deacon Keith Fournier likens Tiller's murder to St Peter severing Malchus' ear in a futile attempt to save Jesus from arrest in his piece in Catholic Online. "The sword belongs in its' sheath!

We reject intentional abortion because every procured abortion is the killing of a member of our human family. The dignity of that little human person in the first home of the whole human race cries out for changing the unjust approach to giving protected status to intentional abortion in America. However, this dignity is present in all human persons, even those with whom we disagree and those whose actions we decry."
Operation Rescue is predictably under fire because Tiller murder suspect Scott Roeder once left a comment on their blog. Here is their statement:
Scott Roeder has never been a member, contributor, or volunteer with Operation Rescue. Mr. Roeder may have posted to our open blog web site, as have thousands of members of the public, including those with pro-abortion views, but he is not affiliated with this organization.

We deplore the criminal actions with which Mr. Roeder is accused.

The pro-life ethic is to value all human life from the moment of conception until natural death. Operation Rescue has diligently and successfully worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see to it that abortionists around the nation are brought to justice. Without due process, there can be no justice.

In spite of these horrific events, we remain dedicated to working through all peaceful and legal means available to bring an end to the killing of innocent children through abortion.
George Tiller was cleared from murder charges in the death of 19 year old Christin Gilbert, a woman who died a slow, painful death after her mother brought her in for a late term abortion in his clinic. He didn't care about whether Christin lived or died. She had Down syndrome.
Here is a reminder of what George Tiller did for a living.

National Abortion Federation creates abortion emergency

I've seen this link from Reuters on Twitter and Facebook "Recession Linked to more Abortions, Vasectomies" and I was immediately suspicious. Check the sources, I said to myself, and, sure enough the National Abortion Federation is in full panic mode that Americans need abortions most just when funding is drying up. Funding for abortions just hit the jackpot when Obama was elected, don't be fooled by the smokescreen.
Here's a tell tale quote from the article with the baloney in red.

The abortion buddies of Nancy Pelosi (remember she wanted birth control funding in the stimulus package, but was forced to withdraw it?) are just creating a crisis to throw an old friend some support.

It hurts to have pro-life heroes in Congress. Ony a month after my group KIDS gave the Senator a pro-life award for his work on the "Prenatally Diagnosed Conditions Awareness Act" he does this; striking a mortal blow to pro-life opposition to Gov Sebelius's nomination.
What are you thinking, Sen Brownback? Do you want her out of your way so you can become governor or Kansas? Isn't there any way to do this without selling out your pro-life ideals and your newfound Catholic faith?

Host Chris Matthews calls pro-life opposition to Sebelius "verbal terrorism."
Washington, DC - MSNBC's Chris Matthews discussed the nomination of Gov. Kathleen Sebelius' to the post of Secretary of health and Human Services yesterday, asking Jonathan Martin of Politico, if he believed that she would survive the "verbal terrorism" of her pro-life opposition.
Martin responded, "I think she will, for one important reason. Sam Brownback, her home state senator, an ardent Catholic pro-lifer, Chris, has said kind things about her, signaling that he will not stand in her way. So if that's any, sort of indication I think that bodes well for Sebelius." (VIEW VIDEO)
"It is unimaginable that a Catholic pro-lifer such as Sen. Brownback would support Sebelius' nomination to a post where she can advance her extremist abortion agenda on the national level. We pray that Mr. Martin's information is in error," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.

Sebelius' nomination has been opposed by a growing number of pro-life groups for her associations with the radical arm of the abortion lobby and because of her cozy connections to late-term abortion abortionist George R. Tiller, who is scheduled for trial on 19 criminal charges of committing illegal abortions.
"As for Matthews' bigoted comments attacking our deep convictions that Sebelius is unfit to serve based on her close connections to numerous abortion scandals really tells us a lot about his basic lack of compassion for the weak and vulnerable," said Newman. Catholic Bishops are speaking out against President Obama'sfunding of pro-abortion groups who are trying to exportabortion to other countries. Obama's decision to reverse the Mexico City policy is "very disappointing," said Cardinal Justin Rigali, chairman of the U.S. Bishops'Committee on Pro-Life Activities.
Cardinal Francis George,president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, notedthat promoting abortion in other countries will also"increase distrust of the United States in these nations,whose values and culture often reject abortion, at a time when we need their trust and respect."

The Truth about Roe v Wade

View the heart breaking testimony of Norma McCorvey, the plaintiff Jane Roe of Roe v Wade, who is now a pro-life Catholic, on how she is fighting to overturn the Supreme Court Case which made her famous.
Both she and Sandra Cano of Doe v Bolton have regretted being used by the pro-abortion forces as means to achieve their evil ends. Fifty million babies have been aborted since the tragic 1973 decision, which legalized abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy.
Over 90% of Americans do not support this. Our voices need to be heard.

The pro-death agenda of the 111th Congress

On the first day of the 111th Congress, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) sent a very clear message about what pro-lifers can expect from the next two years by introducing S. 21, "The Prevention First Act" that would direct hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to the abortion industry, a business that already receives over $286 million each year from federal taxpayers.
It should come as no surprise that Planned Parenthood, the largest supporter of unrestricted abortion, praised the bill. And why not? The abortion merchant will likely be the largest beneficiary of Reid's abortion bailout.
Among other things, the legislation would use taxpayer funds to mislead people about the potential of the "morning after pill" (known as Plan B) to act as an abortifacient. It also encourages the use of Plan B for victims of sexual assault yet has no reporting requirement in place for young girls who may have been victims of abuse and/or rape. When you get right down to it, the bill does nothing to support parental involvement--let alone consent--for dispensing the morning after pill and other "contraception" to minors.
In addition to funding Plan B, the measure would also: subsidize birth control for college and low-income women; expand Title X, the main federal family planning program that requires abortion referrals; expand Planned Parenthood targeting of low-income women through Medicaid; target teens' with "comprehensive" sex education; and spread emergency contraception.

The Pro-life Legacy of President Bush

Here's an excellent article from the National Catholic Register which sets the record straight on the pro-life accomplishments of George W. Bush.

“The most lasting and significant progress made under President Bush is represented by the two Supreme Court justices [John Roberts and Samuel Alito] that he nominated and the Senate confirmed,” said Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life.
“That was the motivation for so many voters who elected the president both times. And it has already paid off, as the Supreme Court upheld the ban on partial-birth abortion,” he said. “Other federal courts, too, have been given men and women who for decades will issue decisions consistent with the moral law, thanks to President Bush.
“Legislatively,” Father Pavone added, “it’s only in the years ahead that we’ll fully appreciate the significance of the progress that was made by the pro-life laws the president signed.”

Unfortunately, many won't realize how great he was until these horrific pro-abortion appointees of Barack Obama take office. His adminstration is looking more ominous by the day.

I moved from the state represented by Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer thinking that Connecticut was a tiny bit more conservative. Since I moved last September, the Supreme Court OK'd homosexual marriage. and the state Attorney General Blumenthal wants to overcome the new Health and Human Services regulations protection physician's freedom of conscience on life issues like birth control. It was the last gift to prolifers of the Bush Administration.
Though the new regulations have nothing to do with birth control, Blumenthal is echoing the arguments from leading pro-abortion groups who claim its access will be adversely impacted by them.
"I will fight this outrageous rule -- the outgoing Bush Administration's latest and last swipe at women's health," he said in a statement LifeNews.com obtained.
"This rule is an appalling insult and abuse -- a midnight power grab to deny access to health care services and information, including even to victims of rape."
Blumenthal led a 13-state coalition to fight the abortion rule before it was adopted, calling on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in formal comments to entirely abandon the Provider Conscience Regulation.

Obama and Hillary are about to invade the UN...
Unborn babies in unspeakable danger...
Dear Friend of the Friday Fax,
On this Christmas Eve, I am truly frightened about the battles that will begin in a few short weeks when Barack Obama becomes President and Hillary Clinton becomes US Secretary of States. I know what is about to happen.
I lived through the Clinton years when abortion was pushed relentlessly by the Clintons and their cohorts at the UN. It was awful.
Pro-lifers were outnumbered by 1,000 to one. Pro-lifers were outspent by $1 billion to one.
Pro-life Christians were persecuted by UN officials simply for being present and fighting for the unborn. The nightmare is about to continue and it will be worse than ever before.
Barack Obama is the most pro-abortion president the US has ever known. He will push for abortion in every venue there is. It will be worse at the UN than anywhere else? Why? Because hardly anyone pays attention to the UN. His work will be hidden. This hiddenness will allow Barack to truly be Barack when it comes to distain for the unborn child.
It will be far worse this time because Barack will also become the most pro-UN president the US has ever seen. He and his team believe the US should join the "global consensus" on a whole host of UN social policy issues, most especially abortion. Worse than that, he and his team believe whole-heartedly that the UN is the sovereign power, not the US, not other sovereign states. He and his team are eager to subsume national sovereignty into UN sovereignty. This includes not just US sovereignty, but Australian sovereignty, Canadian sovereignty, Spanish sovereignty and every other national sovereignty on the globe.
But it will be worse this time than during the Clinton years precisely because his UN team will be led by Hillary Clinton, the Grand Dame of UN pro-abortionists. Hillary was literally leader of the pack at the UN during the nineties, and the pack was braying for a right to abortion. We beat them then and they are back for revenge.
This is what will happen. The US will immediately join the European Union and the UN bureaucracy in advancing a woman's so-called right to choose abortion. You can expect the following:
• A new global conference on women's health, maternal health and violence against women. This will be used to advance a universal right to abortion.
• A new global conference celebrating and advancing Cairo+15 (Cairo+10 was largely ignored during the Bush years because pro-aborts feared a loss).
• A new global conference celebrating and advancing Beijing+15 (Beijing+10 was also largely ignored during the Bush years for fear of a loss).
• You will see renewed US funding of the UN Population Fund, the premier UN agency for advancing population control and abortion.
• You will see Obama strike down US laws forbidding abortion funding for groups around the world. This will result in millions of more dollars supporting abortion around the world.
You will see much much more. But here is the good news. C-FAM and the Friday Fax will be there. As much as the Obamas and the Clintons and the UN hate it, we will be there at every meeting. If we can't get into the meeting, we will be sitting in the hallway outside. We will delve in to documents no one else sees. We will meet with diplomats you will never hear of. We will stalk those halls at the UN all day and, if need be, into the night. We will shine our bright light on UN abortion shenanigans when no one else is there. We will tell the truth.
C-FAM and the Friday Fax are uniquely situated to do this work for the global pro-life movement. We have been here for more than ten years. We are the only pro-life group working exclusively on UN matters. It is as if we have been in training for a decade just to meet the challenge of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. We do not have the money to email that many. Some firms want to charge us $2000 per month to mail that many! Needless to say, we will find a cheaper solution. Still, our costs are about to go much higher.
