Congressman Smith confronts SS Clinton on abortion

Here's the text of Clinton's response, where she advocates the abortion party-line and manages to completely ignore acknowledging the eugenics views of Margaret Sanger:

CLINTON:
Congressman, I deeply respect your passionate concern and views which you have championed and advocated for over the course of your public career.

We, obviously, have a profound disagreement. When I think about the suffering that I have seen of women around the world, I've been in hospitals in Brazil where half the women were enthusiastically and joyfully greeting new babies and the other half were fighting for their lives against botched abortions.

I've been in African countries where 12 and 13-year-old girls are bearing children. I have been in Asian countries where the denial of family planning consigns women to lives of oppression and hardship.

So we have a very fundamental disagreement and it is my strongly held view that you are entitled to advocate and everyone who agrees with you should be free to do so anywhere in the world, and so are we.

We happen to think that family planning is an important part of women's health and reproductive health includes access to abortion, that I believe should be safe, legal and rare.
I've spent a lot of my time trying to bring down the rate of abortions and it has been my experience that good family planning and good medical care brings down the rate of abortion.

Keeping women and men in ignorance and denied the access to services actually increases the rate of abortion.

During my time as first lady, I helped to create the campaign against teenage pregnancy and while we were working to provide good information, access to contraception, and decision-making that would enable young women to protect themselves and say no, the rate of teen pregnancy went down.

I'm sad to report that after an administration of eight years that undid so much of the good work, the rate of teenage pregnancy is going up.

So we disagree and we are now an administration that will protect the rights of women, including their rights to reproductive health care.

Some questions I have for the Secretary of State:

Did you happen to pass by China in your tour of Asia where they pratically sell girls on the open market because of the One Child Policy your husband supported?

Or the millions of scarred Chinese women whose late term abortions (some while the child was in the birth process) haunt them forever?

Did you try and help the 12 and 13 year olds from being raped, or just offer them murder to solve their problem, and send them back to the arms of the rapist, like Planned Parenthood does?

Or are you so beholden to your Planned Parenthood contributors that you put on the blinders to the suffering of these women?

Madame Secretary, you disgust me with your willfull blindness.

Chris Smith, a pro-life hero

Over at Cottage Blessings, Alice has commented an article by my pro-life hero, Rep Christopher Smith. He has commented on two of Madame Secretary of State's trips: to the Planned Parenthood to receive the Margaret Sanger award and to see the miraculous tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe( only to embarass herself by asking, "who painted it?")
Only a devout Catholic like Chris Smith would notice the irony in the juxtapostion of those events:
"On the one hand, the miracle of Our Lady of Guadalupe has for five centuries brought a message of hope, faith, peace, reconciliation and protection for the weakest, most vulnerable among us. On the other hand, each year, Margaret Sanger's Planned Parenthood kills approximately 300,000 unborn baby girls and boys in their abortion clinics scattered throughout the United States."
Thank you Chris Smith for showing great moral leadership in a time when it is sorely needed, and for reminding the world what a racist eugenist Margaret Sanger was.
I included Rep Smith in my article for Canticle Magazine on outstanding Catholic politicians. His wife Marie told me that he was elected in a mostly pro-abortion district in southern New Jersey but has kept his seat because of his integrity. Are the courts going to stop Obama?

This Clintons for McCain Palin website speaks of an investigation of Obama for violating Federal RICO laws. . ."The buzz in those corridors is that federal prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has been leading a team of FBI investigators in 10 states working on a RICO case.
Today, it was announced that ACORN is being investigated in 10 states.
That’s one H-ll of a coincidence.
We asked why Fitzgerald would be involved in this, because he’s the prosecutor on the Tony Rezko case and we aren’t aware of ACORN being investigated in Illinois.
We were told that ACORN was investigated in Illinois years ago, and it was a Fitzgerald case then. This means ACORN’s activities today, involving a conspiracy to commit multi-state voter fraud on SoetorObama’s behalf, are an extension of that previous ACORN case."

Very interesting, this is what you get when you depose Her Majesty, Obama! (can you hear me snickering in cyncial glee?!) The best thing that can happen for our side is for Democrats to tear each other apart, claiming corruption. Hillary should know.

Bill Clinton attacks pro-life students

The pro-lifer who provoked a tirade from Bill Clinton

The YouTube clip above doesn't tell the entire story of pro-life hecklers getting an irate response from Bill Clinton. Catholic musician David Vogel was performing at Franciscan University of Steubenville, when he decided to challenge Clinton at the rally.
"Vogel, a resident of Steubenville and a Catholic recording artist who regularly performs at Franciscan University, told LifeSiteNews.com that at one point during Clinton's speech he was talking about what his wife, Senator Hillary Clinton, was doing for child protection. "What about the thousands who are being aborted," asked Vogel, who could be heard by Clinton, as he was only about 10 feet from the stage. Clinton turned in response, saying, "I'll answer that, you wait and hold your sign, and I'll answer that."
Signs were being held by University students standing with Vogel. One such sign read "Abortion Kills Children", which Vogel notes as a providential coincidence given his line of questioning.
According to Vogel, Clinton went on with other subjects and eventually began speaking about child health care and mentioned Bush's "no child left behind" program. Recalled Vogel, "I hollered: 'No child left behind? What about the 4000 plus children that are scheduled for abortion tomorrow. They are people too and we want answers.'"
That's similar to what I shouted at Hillary in 2000, "you say you are pro-child, Hillary, you can't be pro-abortion AND pro-child!"
The Clintons would have done well to learn from history. Pro-abortion Catholic Presidential Candidate John Kerry was met with vocal protesters in Steubenville in 2004. Democrats for some reason have come to rely on Catholics ignorant of Church teaching that Human Life NOT the economy is THE primary issue on which to base your vote. At least students at Steubenville understand this, and continue to be salt and light to the world.Here's my photo of them at this year's March for Life. I wrote a letter to the National Catholic Register recently saying that when choosing a good Catholic College for my girls, public examples like theirs put their university on the short list. That's the type of education and example I want for my girls, not my alma mater, St. Anselm's who in this month's alumni magazine, proudly displays a photo of Bill Clinton during his speech at the college.

Bishop complains about Hillary speech at St. Mary's University

Archbishop Jose Gomez said, "I was neither advised nor consulted by the university before the decision was made to have Senator Clinton speak at the university," Gomez said in the statement released by the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
Gomez said he was not trying to tell people how to vote, but he noted that U.S. Catholic bishops have affirmed a statement calling on Catholics not to honor or give platforms to political candidates and officeholders "who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles."

Pro-life protesters to greet Hillary tonight at St. Mary's University

Please pass this on the all the Pro-Life Prayer Warriors. Terri Haring of the Allied Women's Center in San Antonio is leading a demonstration today at all entrances to St. Mary's University beginning at 5:00 PM. This protest is in regard to the visit of the queen of the culture of death--Hillary Clinton--speaking at their Greehey Gymnasium/Auditorium.

Another sad day for the Catholic Church when a catholic university uses it's facilities to allow a pro-murder candidate to promote herself and the culture of death, all under the context of academic freedom and freedom of speech. Nonsense. St. Mary's and it's president, Charlie Cottrell and it's chairman of the board of trustees, Ruben Escobedo are accomplices in promoting the culture of death! Where are the Society of Mary priests? Are they hiding and also falling victim to the power of money and secularism in lieu of standing up for Jesus and professing the TRUTHS of HIS Church.

I am embarrassed to be an alumni and any other alumni who read this, please notify St. Mary's that you will no longer make contributions to a university more beholding to satan than to God. I pity the poor families sacrificing to send their children to such a place which promotes such sinfulness and put their students at risk of their salvation.

I assure parents they would be better off by sending their children to Texas A&M and getting them active in the very rigorous and orthodox Catholic center--St. Mary's Parish.

Pray for our Church, it's bishops, priests, and universities. In the meantime please withhold pledged funds from St. Mary's until it regains it's moral bearings.

Poor Kate Michelmen! Two of the staunchest proponents of abortion are vying for the Presidency, and she has to choose between them.
Former NARAL president and leading pro-abortion activist Kate Michelman has endorsed Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton now that her initial candidate, John Edwards, has left the Democratic race for president. Michelman says Obama is doing more to pull together abortion advocates under his candidacy than Clinton.

Exploiting Down syndrome the new fad

Case #1
Al Qaeda tricks two young women with Down syndrome into suicide bombing mission. Read article here. I guess they ran out of willing victims to suicide bomb kill women and children, so now they move on to unwilling victims. This is the depth of depravity.

Case #2
In the commercial where Hillary used the image of Bobby Kennedy visiting the poor to show herself in the same light, she is seen visiting a child with Down syndrome, to show how compassion. BIG mistake Hillary, and I'm going to call her on it every chance I get. She is a hypocrite and a fraud.
Hillary supports every single form of abortion possible, including the henious partial birth abortion, which was on of the ways mothers expecting children with Down syndrome were able to kill over 90% of their late term babies. I have a message for her:
Don't you dare pretend you love our beautiful children with Down syndrome, Hillary! As I told her the day I protested at her campaign stop in my hometown,
"You can't say you're pro-child, and pro-abortion, Hillary!"

Film "What is it?", uses actors with Down syndrome in a demeaning role.
What Is It?, a surrealist film featuring a cast comprised almost entirely of people (most are non-actors) with Down syndrome.
After the film, Glover opened the room to Q & A. I asked the first question. "I have a young son with Down syndrome. Could you please help me understand how you can believe that you did not exploit all the actors with Down syndrome?"Glover has been showing this film to audiences across the US and he said that this was the first time anyone had asked him that question

He went on to say that the killing of live snails caused a lot of controversy but the exploitation and humiliation of people with Down syndrome did not. In a culture who values snails over human beings such a reaction shouldn't cause me to feel sick. But it still does.

Sorry Hillary, according to pro-life nurse and activist Jill Stanek, in her column, Obama is the biggest pro-abort who ever ran for the Presidency. He'll get the Planned Parenthood award money.

Mother Teresa photo no longer on Hillary Commercial

Thanks to the swift action of Joseph Cella of Fidelis who spotted a photo of Mother Teresa on a Hillary campaign video and alerted Sr. Nirmala, the superior of the Missionaries of Charity, the photo has been removed. Hillary was described in the video by husband Bill as a promoter of human rights. and this photo's inclusion was no accident.
Joseph Cella stated, “In our letter, we pointed out that the use of Blessed Teresa’s image was particularly inappropriate and disturbing given Senator Clinton’s staunch support of abortion both here in the United States and abroad. Mother Teresa tirelessly fought to protect unborn children, while Hillary Clinton staunchly supports abortion on demand in all nine months of pregnancy, including partial birth abortion and taxpayer funding of abortion.” “Blessed Mother Teresa is revered in America and across the globe as one of the greatest champions of the dignity of the human person. It is wholly inappropriate, disrespectful and disturbing that Hillary Clinton shamelessly exploited Mother’s image as a political tool,” Cella added
