Last night, in the three part series, "God's Warriors", Christiana Amanpour tried to incite fear of Christian conservative groups like the Moral Majority, lead by the late Rev. Falwell, who during the Carter Administration mobilized and are credited for Ronald Reagan's landslide victory. They brought the prolife movement to the forefront of American politics, and have kept it there.
Not only did she feature footage of the bombing of abortion mills interspersed with peaceful protests, but she brought up the Religious Right's support of the public display of the Ten Commandments as an ominous attempt to take over this nation with Judeo-Christian morality.
The cameras focused on Liberty University's mock Supreme Court room, while the President stated his intention to take back the court. She reminded viewers that Justices Ginsburg and Stevens, the Court's troglodyte liberals who can't possibly be expected to live much longer, could be replaced with conservatives who would then rule this nation.
It's an early campaign speech for the Democrats, and here's the coup de grace; Jimmy Carter is holding hands with Bill Clinton in an effort to steer the Baptist Church away from Christian morality into touchy-feely "let's be nice to everyone, and sing Kumbaya" mumbo-jumbo. They are trying to fool voters into believing that you can ignore the 10 Commandments, throw the poor some programs, and call yourselves Christians. What happened to the Jimmy Carter who not too long ago, chastened his party for not being pro-life?!

Review of Guerrilla Apologetics for Catholics

I have always meant to compile a cheat sheet for apologetics, ready answers, complete with Scripture references in case I'm asked one of the 'big questions' like: "Why do Catholics believe in Purgatory?" Well, thanks to Guerrilla Apologetics for Catholics, I no longer have to write my cheat sheet. It's all here, by topic, and full of Scriptural references. The Catechism of the Catholic Church is not referenced because, non-Catholics don't accept that as valid, and discussion must stem from a source both believers trust, the Scriptures.

As with Guerrilla Apologetics for Life Issues, this book teaches how to frame the discussion, not merely respond to innumerable questions until your opponent is worn out. In fact, he teaches how to turn their question into our question.

A great jumping-off point for a beginning apologist, or handy pocket guide for a seasoned apologist. It covers all the basic points of discussion, Purgatory, the doctrine of "faith alone is necessary for salvation, the doctrine of "Scripture alone", the Papacy (with a handy list of every pope since St. Peter), divorce, the saints, the Blessed Mother, and the Eucharist.

Once you get these basic points down, or become proficient at looking them up in this user-friendly book, you can correct 90% of Protestant misconceptions about Catholicism.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen once said, "most people don't reject Catholicism, they reject what they misinterpret as Catholicism". Correct the misconceptions, and your job is done.

Catholics Descend on Tiller's Abortion Mill For 72 Hrs. Of Prayer
OR encourages Christians everywhere to fast and pray March 23-25 for efforts to bring abortionist Tiller to justice. (This is the vigil of the Feast of the Annunciation)
Wichita, KS - March 20, 2007 - As efforts are underway to reinstate thirty criminal charges against abortionist George Tiller for committing illegal late-term abortions, a group a Catholics from Louisiana and other states will hold a 72-hour prayer vigil outside the infamous Wichita abortion mill beginning this Friday, March 23, and running through Sunday, March 25.
The group, Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary Crusade For Life, is led by Rich Mahoney and based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They have committed to holding round-the clock prayer vigils in Wichita twice a year until Women's Health Care Services closes.
"While this group is predominately Catholic, Christians from all denominations are invited to stop by Tiller's during the prayer event and offer their own prayers for an end to abortion, and that Tiller will be brought to justice for the commission of illegal late-term abortions," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.
Tiller was charged with 30 criminal counts related to illegal post-viability abortions in December, only to have them dismissed the following day at the request of the pro-abortion District Attorney Nola Foulston on dubious jurisdictional grounds. The merits of the case have never been questioned.
A campaign is ongoing to persuade members of the Kansas House to pass a resolution that would compel the current attorney general, Paul Morrison, to prosecute Tiller. An Ohio group as launched a national petition to gather signatures in support of such an effort.
"Now is a critical time in the efforts to bring Tiller to justice," said Newman. "For those who cannot make it to Wichita for prayer this weekend, we encourage you to fast and pray over March 23-25 wherever you are, to the extent that God gives you grace, with the Crusade for Life and Operation Rescue for the reinstatement of the Tiller charges and an end to Tiller's abortion business."
