John Hayward on Twitter said, "Ann Romney should understand that the Mommy State does not like to face skilled competitors."
Lots of truth in that response, Democrats are politically successful to the extent that they break up families and keep the single moms dependent on entitlements. Fifty years of abortion on demand, easy divorce and free contraception has left an increasing number of broken families.These vulnerable people need the entitlement programs and thus vote Democrat. They would be better off getting married to stable men who can afford them the chance to stay home and nurture their children as Karen and Ann did.
Solid prosperous families are the Democrat's worst nightmare. Thus the virulent attacks on the Santorum and Romney families. Wonder why the Obamas escaped scrutiny? Everyone knows that Michelle and Barack rode to the top of the food chain on the affirmative action system and that they are its best defenders.

Seven more pro-life Senators in 2012

For the second time this year, the U.S. House of Representatives has voted to stop sending taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood. The U.S. Senate, however, was quick to run in the opposite direction, with 58 senators voting in favor of funding the nation’s largest abortion business.

The House voted 241-185 on the measure, and 240-185 to defund the widely unpopular health care law. The Senate voted 47-53 on the health care funding bill.

We need seven more pro-life senators in the 2012 election to vote out Planned Parenthood funding. Seven more senators to take over the Senate from the Culture of Death. And a President who is not in love with abortion. We'll have to elect them, those who are in the Senate have now voted twice to fund abortion and human trafficking.
As Ann Coulter so aptly put it. "On this aborted fetus, Democrats plant their flag. Abortion is the ONLY hill on which Democrats are willing to die.

And then, totally by accident, Republicans stumbled onto the Democrats' Achilles heel. Among their specific defunding proposals, Republicans had suggested taking mere peanuts away from Planned Parenthood.

The Democrats responded: NO! WE'LL CUT 40 BILLION! JUST DON'T TOUCH PLANNED PARENTHOOD!

All the Republicans had to do was threaten to cut federal funding for abortion, and they won $40 billion in spending cuts overnight.

 How sad is it that so many Catholics re-elect them when it is clear that abortion is the only area on which they will not compromise.
 I pray that if we make a big deal out of each Senator's vote on Planned Parenthood funding, that at least some Catholics will listen to their bishops and vote pro-life next election.

Tide is turning against Obama

Since Catholics formed a circular firing squad and helped Obama pass the disasterous health care legislation which even Max Baucus admits he never read, I have been depressed.
 I kept asking myself, "How could this happen to the United States? How could we wilingly surrender our most precious freedoms to an inefficient, wicked government leader, which has no heart for the weakest among us?" President Obama, unlike the rest of Congress, said he would not have passed a bill to save Terri Schiavo, and he voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. How could this immoral man be the leader of the free world?"
Well, it seems something positive has been happening among my fellow Americans, reason has been dawning and new polls find that they are realizing what a mistake it was to elect Obama and his cronies. Citizen Link says that:

Rasmussen Reports released two significant polls – on stem-cell research and health care – that help quantify America’s growing distrust of President Obama, the U.S. Congress and the intrusion of the federal government – especially when it includes using taxpayers’ hard-earned money.


Both polls show a colossal disconnect between the views of Americans and of those whom they elected to public office – or what Rasmussen dubs as the “political class.”

Case in point: While 57 percent of Americans oppose taxpayer-funded embryonic stem-cell research, 73 percent of the political class strongly supports it. Nearly 80 percent of political class does not want to repeal Obama’s health care law, while 58 percent of Americans voters are in favor of its repeal.

This diconnect between Obama's clones and real Americans they pledged to represent, but in reality don't respect or represent, portends well for the coming election. We are poised for a major sea change, and a possible Republican takeover of both houses of Congress. Nancy Pelois, according to a political scientist from University of Buffalo, will be handing over her gavel to Republicans in January.

Will that mean significant changes, however? It depends; as Mark Levin said last night on his show, can we trust the Republican leadership to do what we want when we put them back in charge of the government?
We want health care repealed, embryonic stem cell research, gay marriage AND abortion ended. Got it?

A recent poll showed 42% of Americans consider themselves conservative, more than twice the number who call themselves liberal. The liberal experiment sounded good, but Americans are learning that without a strong famliy, society unravels, and no government program; welfare, health care, etc can weave it together again.
What God has joined, no man must seperate.

How to legislate electoral fraud:DISCLOSE

The pundits have been saying it, and so have the polls. The Dems are poo-pooing it, but they are worried. They are going to lose big this Novemeber if last month's primaries where pro-life women were victorious are any indication. So, what's a Dem to do when faced with defeat?
Muzzle your opponents. No, we can't openly suppress free speech in the US, at least not yet, but we can hamper pro-family organizations with so many oppressive and complex regulations that their message will not get out to the grassroots.

The bill forces groups, including most 501(c)4, 501(c)5, 501(c)6, and 527 groups, to comply with what pro-life groups call “onerous” reporting requirements. These would disclose the donors and members of their organizations, and frustrate the ability of grassroots entities to communicate effectively with the public about public policy.


“There is no principle embodied in this legislation other than crude political advantage. They are trying to temporarily disable their critics,” Douglas Johnson, Legislative Director for the National Right to Life Committee, told LifeSiteNews.com (LSN).

Rep Joe Courtney defends his lack of Town Hall meetings

Thank you for contacting me regarding health insurance reform. I appreciate your comments and having the benefit of your views.

Our representative democracy is built on the premise that all citizens must have the opportunity to have their voices heard. As your representative in Congress, it is absolutely critical that I hear from a diverse cross-section of the constituents for whom I serve. That is why I have made communicating with my constituents, soliciting their feedback, and keeping them informed of developments in Congress a top priority.

For example, I have hosted or participated in more than fifteen public events across eastern Connecticut since January, many of which focused on health insurance reform and economic recovery, which I believe are not mutually exclusive in many cases. These events have included public town hall meetings, "Congress on your Corner" events where I make myself and my staff available at a publicly accessible location, roundtable discussions about health care, among other events. In most cases, these events have been publicized either through press advisories and media listings, notification through my weekly "E-Newsletter," or posted on the "Events" section of my website, http://courtney.house.gov/.
None of these were held this summer recess.

I have also made sure that the public has access to the resources they need to be informed about the bill and access information about the long-overdue changes it proposes to make to our health insurance system. For example, the proposed draft of health insurance reform legislation has been posted on my website since July 1, 2009, followed by a section-by-section analysis of the bill on July 8, 2009. Around that time, I announced the availability of these documents both through an email to subscribers of my E-Newsletter and to the media through a press release, which was then published in various local papers. Further, the text of the bill, as it was officially introduced, was made available on my website July 18, 2009, and again I notified the public of the availability of these resources through an e-newsletter and press release.
I can read the documents anywhere, I wanted to voice my opinion and you dodged my questions.

During the August District Work Period I was invited to participate in a town hall meeting sponsored by a third party organization. Was it SEIU by any chance? Why can't you name it? It was a set-up like Obama's events. Puhleeze!!!!
I was therefore unable to personally advertise and promote this event due to guidelines listed in the U.S. House Ethics Manuel in which it specifically prohibits my office from using any of my "Member's Representational Allowance" to promote any event with a political organization, which this organization is.
Oh, so posting it on your website, and sending me an email alert were too expensive, right?
The event was posted in local newspapers and advertised by the group.Which group?
The event was widely attended by over 350 supporters and opponents of H.R. 3200 and I was pleased with the productive conversation that was had. I apologize if you were unable to attend, but I look forward to holding similar meetings in the near future. I will join the SEIU and that way I'll be sure to get my invitation.

Bill Donohue reacts to the Congressional Reprimand of the Holy Father

CATHOLIC DEMOCRATS CHIDE POPE
On January 29, nearly 50 Catholic Democratic congressmen sent a letter to Pope Benedict XVI stating their concerns over Bishop Richard Williamson’s comments questioning the historical record on the Holocaust. The bishop belongs to the St. Pius X Society, a group which recently had its excommunication lifted by the pope. The congressmen implored the pope to denounce the bishop’s views.
Catholic League president Bill Donohue spoke to this issue today:

“The congressmen’s letter to the pope smacks of posturing and hypocrisy, and is factually wrong. They begin by saying ‘we are writing to express our deep concerns with your decision to reinstate Bishop Richard Williamson to communion with the Catholic Church….’ The fact is that the pope did not reinstate the bishop to communion with the Church—he merely lifted the excommunication of the group to which he belongs. In order for the group to be fully reinstated, it would have to express its fidelity to the teachings of the Church, as well as the norms of Vatican II. In other words, the letter is based on a false predicate.

“Facts aside, this kind of posturing is a disgrace: for American congressmen to lecture the pope about an event in which he was personally victimized, and about which he has long condemned, is nothing short of arrogant.
“The hypocrisy is mind-boggling. They beg the pope to ‘publicly state your unequivocal position on this matter so that it is clear where the Church stands….’ How ironic that most of these very same Catholics fail to speak with clarity about what the Church teaches on abortion. Of the 47 signatories, the majority have a 100 percent NARAL score (meaning they vote with the radical pro-abortion group on every issue). The leader of this group, Rep. Rosa DeLauro, never agrees with the Catholic Church on abortion—her NARAL score is 100 percent.
“One more thing: they addressed the pope not as a head of state but as a ‘spiritual leader.’ Didn’t they ever hear of respecting separation of church and state?”

More Looking into the pork in the stimulus package

This much is clear after last night's vote. House Democrats will live or die by the stimulus.
President Obama's hopes for a spirit of bipartisanship sank the moment Republican leaders got their hands on the bill's fine print.
The American people seem to be catching the new wave of skepticism about the liberals' plan. According to the latest Rasmussen poll, only forty-two percent of the nation's likely voters now support the President's plan. Perhaps they, like the GOP, are paying more attention to the fallout for the nation's families.
Human Events says the $1.1 trillion pork-and-payoff bill will cost every American household $10,000--with just 5% dedicated to infrastructure. As families carefully spend their dollars, the presses are running around the clock to print more money for government agencies who abuse what they already have. We're also learning of some disturbing connections between House liberals and the beneficiaries of the stimulus.
Newspapers revealed that the bill's architect, Rep. David Obey (D-Wis.), had a vested interest in the massive $2 billion earmark for national parks (triple what the Senate Appropriations Committee approved). His son, Craig Obey, happens to be the chief lobbyist for the National Park Service. House Democrats also want to reward the National Science Foundation with a lavish $1.4 billion check at the same time its employees are under investigation for viewing and emailing porn on the taxpayers' dime ("for significant portions of their workdays, and over period of months or even years," according to Politico). Most Americans would agree that this isn't the kind of stimulus Congress should be funding.
FRC also learned that your money will help ingratiate Obama to his new Hollywood friends by providing a $246 million tax break for film investors. We commend the Democrats who stood against the party pressure and voted with conservatives and the GOP to protect the taxpayers. They include: Reps. Bobby Bright (Ala.), Parker Griffith (Ala.), Allen Boyd (Fla.), Walt Minnick (Idaho), Brad Ellsworth (Ind.), Frank Kratovil (Md.), Collin Peterson (Minn.), Gene Taylor (Miss.), Heath Shuler (N.C.), Paul Kanjorski (Pa.), and Jim Cooper (Tenn.). Congressional Democrats Want Limbaugh to Quiet Down or ELSE

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has launched an online petition to express its outrage after conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh attacked the president's liberal policies.
The petition follows a warning from President Barack Obama that Republican leaders should stop listening to Limbaugh if they want a good relationship with Democrats and the new administration.
Limbaugh told Sean Hannity he’d love to support Obama if he chose different policies:
“If he’s going to do FDR, if he’s going to do the new, New Deal all over — which we will call here the Raw Deal — why would I want him to succeed?”
Mike Johnson, senior legal counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund, said he was appalled at the petition effort.
“This is absolute nonsense," he said. "It goes to show us once more that the radical left in the country depends upon the ability to censor and silence opposing viewpoints.”
Johnson said the real target of the petition is obvious.
“Free speech and religious liberty (are) the only things that stand in the way of (their) agenda," he said, "and so free speech and religious freedom are imperiled.”
Johnson also noted that congressional Democrats have more important things to focus on, such as terrorism and the economy.

Obama can't complete his takeover of this nation with those of us in the opposition criticising him. Too bad. It's called the First Amendment. You remember, your favorite part of the Bill of Rights when some pornographer or atheist wants to spout filthy, blasphemous language into our children's ears!
But beware, this petition is merely a shot across the bow. What the Democrats are planning to do next is say, "Well, Rush (and by extension, Leticia) we tried to warn you nicely, but since you wouldn't stop criticizing, we're gonna hafta shut ya down." No 60 seat majority in the Senate: Chambliss wins Georgia!

This means that Obama can't overrun Congress like a steamroller with his radical agenda. Now he can face a filibuster on his initiatives IF the Republicans have the guts to oppose him. Remember when Clinton appointee, ACLU radical jurist Ruth Bader Ginsburn sailed through her Senate confirmation with 98 votes? Did Thomas, Roberts or Alito get such courtesy?
Even when we were in the majority, members refused to use the 'nuclear option' and break the Democrat stranglehold on Congress, so I hope they've learned their lesson and acquired a backbone!
