Former Senator Santorum blames overemphasis on diversity for Ft Hood Masscre

"The Fort Hood massacre is now forcing us to consider whether the military's commitment to "diversity" as job one prevented military officials and the Department of Defense from "connecting the dots" when it came to the accused shooter.

You remember that concept, right? "Connecting the dots" was all the rage right after 9/11. Just eight years later, however, we're all wondering how the military brass failed to notice the many red flags surrounding Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, including his vocal opposition to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, his Islamic proselytizing, and his ties to radical Islamists.

Of course this has to be the assumption of the great majority of the American people. But do they have the courage to whisper  it in the public square where those who are not politically correct are swiftly punished for stating the obvious?
That this terrorist should have been discharged from the Army keeping him from emotionally damaging soldiers returning from the battlefield to defend this nation, is obvious. That he presented a clear and present danger not only to the soliders whom he treated as a psychiatrist, but to women whom he disdained, and to his fellow soldiers at Ft Hood is also obvious.
What is also becoming clear through the silence of Obama on human rights abuses in China and Attorney General Eric Holder's decision to give Constitutional rights to foreign terrorists who abhor the very freedom it stands for, that political correctness is endangering the lives of all Americans.
We are not at war with terror anymore, terrorists are just ordinary citizens, and repressive Chinese communists are our friends because they buy our debt. This type of doublespeak is reminiscent of the novel 1984. If not, please read the summary here. It is a prophetic book for our time.

The Next Terrorist Attack: an interview with Rick Santorum

Former Senator Rick Santorum, in an interview with the Westchester Institute's Fr. Berg, describes his new book, "The Gathering Storm".
"Berg: Is it an exaggeration in any way to continue to believe that the US is in a state of war with world-wide Jihadism? Do most Americans believe this? What about the millions of Americans who simply reject this outright? Where does that leave us in terms of preparedness?
Santorum: It is not an exaggeration. It is a simple fact of life in the 21st century. The Islamists have declared war on us and defend their attacks on the West with appeals to Koran and other classic canonical Islamic texts and with Sharia reasoning. This is not to say that all Muslims are terrorists or that all Muslims agree with the arguments and justifications of the Islamists. But it is important to recognize that the jihadists are making a claim to represent authentic Islam and that they have a great many sympathizers and supporters throughout the Islamic world. "

I agree with Mr. Santorum that we must define who our opponent is to wage an effective campaign to stop him, and the Bush Admistration has not done this, and thus the Democrats have too many of us believing that world wide jihad is merely a figment of our imgination. Remember they said that about the Cold War too. It took Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul to save us from that terrible threat.
What would happen if we elect a leader like Barack Obama who caters to Islamist dictators?
What terrible risk are we about to take because we are enthralled by making history by electing an African American president, while forgetting that our freedom and our lives are at stake?

Guest Post: Pro-life Cartoonist John Francis Borra

As originally conceived, this cartoon was directed at medical practitioners who've turned their talent and training into the means of genocide. But as I put pencil to paper last week, I realized the gag was falling short of the real culprits. Few, if any, abortionists would be in business if not for many millions of supporters. Among these, of course, are pandering politicians who sell out vulnerable young women and their unborn children.

Those who watched the Democrats' response to Monday's State of the Union address saw such a culprit. As a Kansas legislator and chief executive, Kathleen Sebelius has publicly repudiated her most precious heritage-- the Catholic Faith-- by aiding and abetting the killers. Listening to her all-too-earnest pleas on behalf of America's children, one would assume she's pro-life. But her career has been funded by the likes of Wichita's notorious George Tiller and Planned Parenthood of Kansas & Mid-Missouri, the late-term abortion operators under investigation for routinely concealing evidence of rape. On Tuesday, she publicly endorsed infanticide advocate Barak Obama during his campaign stop in central Kansas. And last year, Governor Sebelius launched a vigorous effort to bring human cloning, harvesting and experimentation to Kansas, developing a macabre parallel to the state's lucrative cattle industry.

Clearly, Kathleen Sebelius' vision for America's children has more to do with petri dishes than playgrounds.

But apostatizing politicians are just the tip of this iceberg of stone-cold hearts. The truly culpable include the multitude of Americans who are too excited by veneers of charm and good looks to consider the lives such candidates would legislate into oblivion; journalists and entertainers who portray vice as virtue and virtue as vice; self-styled religious leaders and their flocks, who fashion golden calves to suit their self-indulgence; young adults, weaned on the notion of freedom without responsibility; status-conscious parents who won't abide a pregnant teen. The list goes on.
Indeed, Osama bin Laden should be the least of our worries.
