Fruit of the 2010 election sweep; Good Governor Brownback

I saw it as a social worker and teacher in minority communities, single women abandoned by their 'baby's daddy' who surive on welfare checks that encourage this shameful and harmful trend which has destroyed milliions of lives. Not one of the teens I worked with in inner city GED programs even knew anyone who had ever been married. It was not part of their worldview, thanks to three or four generations of welfare.
Welfare programs have supported women and children ONLY IF the man has fled. These type of programs encourage immorality and child abandonment, according to a famous Democrat;

Sociologist (and later U.S. Senator from New York) Daniel Patrick Moynihan warned in the 1965 Moynihan Report that the welfare rules created by the Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) program were breaking down low-income black families.
Such programs had stipulations that welfare payments would be made to women with dependent children, only if the “Man [was] out of the house” – a clear discouragement for poor dependent women to get married to their partners. Moynihan stated that the breakdown of husband-wife-led families in the black community was blocking their upward economic and social mobility, keeping them in poverty.

Former Senator and now Governor Sam Brownback is aware of this trend and wants to fight this family destroying trend.
“Studies show a healthy, loving family unit benefits not only the parents but, more importantly, the children,” Brownback said. “We will work to remove disincentives to marriage, so more couples can marry without the fear of losing crucial state support during difficult financial times.”

Conservatives like Governor Brownback and Former Senator Santorum who wrote "It Takes a Family" know the Catholicteaching of the sanctity of the family and how a nannny state will only create problems, like juvenile delinquency, substance abuse, gang membership and incarceration. This is borne out by statistics yet it takes a good pro-life governor to have the courage to change the system which beats down families. We need to take care of abandoned women, of course, but we need to stop men from abandoning them first.

The ladies leave the left

According to Concerned Women for America, there will be BIG changes in the way women vote. I think that women are sensing that Obama, who promised he would take care of us, is failing miserably, and in fact plotting to remove our supports, like the mortgage and child tax credit. Not to mention our health care.
So women are moving to the right. Finally realizing who is pro-family after all.

On November 2, we could witness a tectonic shift in the
voting patters of American women -- a shift that could
reshape the political landscape for the rest of this decade.

But everything still depends on what happens in these
final days leading up to Election Day.

Here's the evidence...

According to a Pew Research poll, female likely voters are
now more likely to vote for a Republican than a Democrat --
49 to 43 percent. Why is this significant?

Because this is a huge shift from just two years ago when
female voters preferred Barack Obama by 13 points -- 56 to
43 percent. In addition, one has to go back more than two
decades (1988) to find the last national election cycle
in which female voters favored Republicans over Democrats.
And the "gender gap" has typically been 10 points or more.

A double-digit swing in the so-called "gender gap" in just
two years -- and a historic move that hasn't been seen in
22 years -- is a political tectonic shift.

But in the face of this shift, liberal feminists are on the
attack. They are demeaning conservative women leaders in
an effort to paint you and me as untrustworthy radicals.

Their goal? Stereotype conservative women as a threat and
sway votes away from conservative candidates!

The most vicious attach on conservatives is the horrible documentary "The Assassination of Dr George Tiller" a liberal attempt by Rachel Maddow to smear all pro-lifers with Tillers blood. His murder was the act of a disturbed man, Scott Roeder, who acted alone. But thanks to creative editing and failure to tell the facts, and staged photos, Maddow lionizes the man who was known for performing  horrendous abortions on babies who could live on their own. and the deaths of women like the 19 with Down syndrome, Christin Gilbert.(see photo at right) Her mother took her to Tiller's mill for a late term abortion and she died a horrible death of sepsis. Tiller's staff convinced her mother NOT to take her to the hospital till it was too late. After all, Tiller killed many a baby with Down syndrome, why should he care if a young woman like Christin died? Such is the mentality of the man who was canonized in this propaganda piece.

Not only does Maddow want to scare Democrats and moderates away from conservatives, but she is setting up a  lawsuit against all pro-lifers by alleging that those who prayed outside the mill, by their very activism, were encouraging Roeder to kill Tiller. She is even trying to bring down Bill O'Reilly who did several shows on Tiller. Way to improve your show's ratings, Maddow!
Liberals don't have the truth on their side, so they resort to smear tactics and since so much of the media is still on their side, the lies are repeated over and over till they are accepted as truth.
 Not as long as we have the internet, Maddow, we won't let your lies stand.
Women are educating themselves and not allowing feminazis like you to tell us what we think!

New conservative Social Studies standards come from Texas

In the field of education, the surest way to set my blood a boilin' is the mention the words 'revisionist history'. I fell victim to the 'values clarification' agenda way back in the 1970's, and fought it vigorously. In World History, my liberal teacher taught Mao Tse Tung's little red book (the spelling used then) as sacred doctrine. We carried little copies and memorized excerpts from it which were enshrined on the walls, in little stations around the walls of our classroom, like the Stations of the Cross. This was in the late 70's when Mao was starving 28 million of his own people. But not according to Ms Hair (not her real name, she just dressed like a character from the musical with a blond Afro) who told us all year, "there's no hunger in China". Indoctrination, pure and simple. Ms Hair was a pot smoking, lesbian, New Age, card -carrying Communist, whose father was on the school board, giving her immunity, that is until they caught her dealing pot to the students.
Mr Green was another case. He taught European History in Northport High School. Mr Green's course "Great Minds and Monarchs of Europe" should have been called, "Why the Catholic Church is the Enemy of All That is Good". From the Inquisition to the Crusades, the Reformation to Pope Pius X who he accused of collaboration with the Nazis, there was no Catholic left unblamed in Mr Green's class.
Thanks to Mr Green, I became an apologist. I had debated with Ms Hair the virtues of communism for a year, and with Mr Green, I began to do research into the history of the Catholic Church with Jesuit Fr Fagan (real name) in St Philip Neri Parish. Fr Fagan had a great library of books to support my arguments, and I learned about Catholic heroes like Msgr. O'Flaherty the Scarlet Pimpernel of the Vatican who hid Jews and US airmen to refuge in the Vatican itself right under the noses of the Nazis. Monsignor is immortalized in the wonderful film "The Scarlet and the Black".
So, the liberal members of the Texas Board of Ed have been outvoted and are crying foul. The new curriculum, vitally important because it determines what major Social Studies textbook companies willl print, will more accurately reflect the religious and cultural heritage of the United States. For example it is mentioned that the "separation of church and state" is NOT found in the Constitution, the bogus term BCE and CE do NOT replace BC and AD (before Christ and Anno Domine). Students are warned about the dangers which international treaties place on US sovereignty, and the US is named a "Consittutional Republic"rather than a Democracy. Democrats should like that last one, if this were a direct Democracy, Obamacare would never have passed; instead our elected officials ignored the vox populi.
So, now after years of domination by the liberal revisionsists, a more accurate portrayal of US History may be printed in our children's textbooks. Don't get too excited, there are mostly liberals in publishing, according to the textbooks I have used as a teacher. I don't expect them to change to the truth overnight, when they've had decades to rewrite history.
I just hope that Catholic school administrators have the good sense to use good Catholic textbooks like Ignatius Press Catholic Textbook Project which present a balanced view of American and World history. Pleanty of cultural diversity, NO Catholic bashing. In fact the accomplishements of Catholics like Christopher Columbus are lauded.

Hoffman leading in NY District 23

I am so proud that upstate New York, home of the gorgeous Adirondacks did not accept Dede Scozzafava's liberal stand on abortion, gay marriage, and the economy, and roundly rejected her candidacy for the House. I am thrilled that this has become a test case for the Tea Party people to flex their collective muscles and take back America for traditional morality. no party bosses cutting deals in smoke-filled rooms. We have spoken, and they WILL listen.
And Sarah Palin is leading the charge. This IS the America I love!!

Wanted to send you a quick update on the ground in Watertown, NY for the special election taking place next Tuesday. It’s truly incredible-- you can really sense and see the momentum here. The energy is palpable and it’s happened in such a short period of time.

Today, The New York Times published a front page article about our efforts on the ground in NY-23, as well as the national implications this race has for the national party.

We have had six staffers in the district getting people and our efforts organized over the last 10 days. This weekend went great- our team distributed literature to over 65 church services across the district. In total, we have recruited 102 volunteers in charge of distributing yard signs, 95 volunteers in charge of literature distribution at their local church communities and 108 volunteers rounded up who will work at polling locations on Election Day. We are also in the process of blanketing the district with 4000 yard signs.

Every goal we had in terms of volunteer recruitment and events is being increased because we keep meeting them! Unfortunately, the funding isn’t tracking with the on the ground successes. We need to order more supplies, signs and literature for Election Day. Just when it looks like Hoffman can win, we need the extra funds to push us over the top. In total, we have raised and spent over $36,000 on the ground game. An additional $42,000 has been spent on radio ads and robo-calls.

We need to immediately order 75,000 more pieces of literature for Election Day. And we also need to cover the costs for the students who are coming to help in the final weekend. At least 40 star homeschoolers and their parents are coming here to work the polls. We need to cover their hotel and gas. In total, we are going to need at least another $22,700 to make it to Election Day.

NY-23 is small town values, churches everywhere you look, military guys walking around with their families. The sense of hope is growing organically in this election. We are doing two things here-- First, we are giving these folks a choice- someone who will represent their values. And second, we are sending a clear signal that there has to be a line the GOP won’t cross when it comes to respecting our values. That line was overstepped with the nomination of Dede Scozzafava. As the Wall Street Journal wrote: Above all, a defeat would teach Republicans that running candidates who believe in nothing will keep them in the minority for years to come.

We have real momentum on the ground here and we need to sustain it. But we still need your help. The latest polling released yesterday shows Hoffman at 31%, Bill Owens at 27% and Dede Scozzafava at 20%. The GOP and the Dems have both reversed strategy from attacking each other to attacking Hoffman, so we need to be fully funded to execute this winning strategy.
