Many of my friends travelled for miles to get to Fr Mason's special Children's Mass. His homilies during which he explained Scripture and Church teaching to children with a blackboard reminiscent of Archbishop Sheen, were greatly appreciated by families. The mass has been unceremoniously cancelled though well attended and in a chapel away from the Main Church. Read the article here.

Lisante’s a nihilist proportionalist. For those of you who have studied in Long Island Catholic schools those may be difficult vocabulary words.
Let me state it more simply: Lisante’s homilies indicate that he believes that an evil act may be permissible and that it might even be a positive good if the person has a “loving and charitable intent”. If this sounds SQUISHY… well that’s because IT IS! He also seems to believe that the only people who will NOT go to Heaven are those who believe in Hell!

Finally someone has the guts to defend what all Catholics believed until about 40 years ago.
One wonders what happened to Fr. Jim Lisante MORALLY that could have warped him so over the years. At one time he was a great priest! Now he is a media celebrity masquerading as a conservative! Sadly, he is one of the most self absorbed guys I know.
The libs & FemiNazis in the chancery and the seminary in Huntington must be having apoplexy trying to figure out how to shut this modernpriest.blogspot.com guy down.
Having worked in the chancery and having lived in the seminary, I sure hope this guy has a good security system! Scare tactics are not beneath the ecclesial thugs behind Lisante.
Well, I would suggest that Lisante is not the right choice for a very conservative parish ... to put it mildly.

We come before You today to ask Your Forgiveness and seek Your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, ''Woe to those who call evil good,'' but that's exactly what we have done. We have lost our Spiritual equilibrium and inverted our values. We confess that; we have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it pluralism; We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism; We have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle; We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery; We have neglected the needy and called it self preservation; We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare; We have killed our unborn and called it choice; We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable; We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem; We have abused power and called it political savvy; We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition; We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression; We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, O God, and know our hearts today; try us and see if there be some wicked way in us; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent here by the people of this state and who have been ordained by You, to govern this great state of (Kansas). Grant them your wisdom to rule and may their decisions direct us to the center of Your Will.
