New York Times Embroiled in Major Controversy over Yellow Journalism

The New York Times finally showed it's true colors in a recent controversy involving an article which Jack Hitt wrote for the NYTimes Magazine last April, entitled, "Pro-life Nation". It told the story of a woman allegedly in prison for aborting an 18 week unborn child, and the author pointed out that this would be legal in America. Only problem was the translator used for the story works for Ipas, a company which makes abortion machines that suck babies limb from limb. They stand to make millions if abortion is legalized in El Salvador.

The woman in question actually gave birth to a full term infant, and then strangled him, an act, which, at least, at present, is still illegal in America.

The question is, who will hold the New York Times responsible for this deliberate lie?
Tim, in his El Salvador blog is reporting on this scandal.

Yeah, and they're sacking the ombudsman who admitted that the public who were holding them accountable were right.

And Fox News is the outlet with the bad reputation.

On, the contrary, granny, Fox News may have a bad reputation with the liberal mainstream media and Comedy Central, but Fox News has the public support, ie. higher ratings than CNN and MSNBC combined on all evening news/commentary programs. The people are finally learning to recognize bunk when they hear it! Let't hope this last debacles settles the question of whether the NYTimes can be still considered a serious newspaper.

This is disgraceful - I had seen the article posted elsewhere...

It's also the reason I won't buy this newspaper anymore - I want the facts of a story, not something that is structured to sway public opinion.
