We have awoken. The sleeping giant, the Catholic voting public, the leviathan is awake.
We are about to make history, by electing the most pro-life Congress in history. Many theories abound as to why, but I think having a bit less money has awakened us from our materialistic stupor and we discovered those teachings of childhood, before we got into the rat race. Dawn has broken. Words are coming to mind.
Family, life, love, God. We are like the crew on the airship in WALL-E, who somehow remember what it was like to walk on our own two feet and feel the grass under them. We remember there are more important things than the size of our SUV and our McMansion.
We remember that we have the fullness of truth in our Church and that this world is not our home, we are merely pilgrims passing through the world to do some good. To make the womb the safest and not most dangerous place in the world. To stand for the rights of the most vulnerable among us, the unborn.
