US Bishops 'deeply disappointed' in failure of pro-life amendment in health care bill.

However, one wonders what will happen if the version of the bill hammered out by the House and Senate does not include a prohibition of  abortion funding and a conscience clause, will the bishops withdraw their support from the health care reform bill?
There is no health care bill I find acceptable, as long as Obama is president and the Democrats craft it. They  cannot be trusted with the lives and health of Americans. Period. Any bureaucracy they set in place will by the appointments of pro-death bureaucrats like Zeke Emmanuel and Kathleen Sibelius be dangerous to people like my Christina.
Cardinal George, president of the USCCB said,
"The Senate vote to table the Nelson-Hatch-Casey amendment is a grave mistake and a serious blow to genuine health care reform," said Cardinal Francis George, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). "The Senate is ignoring the promise made by President Obama and the will of the American people in failing to incorporate longstanding prohibitions on federal funding for abortion and plans that include abortion."

I agree with you 100%, Leticia. Obama and his administration cannot be trusted. Now we must work and pray with even more fervor to ensure that this bill is not passed.
