Chiara Luce was a beautiful teenager of deep faith, vibrant health and good Catholic family. She loved sports, was very popular and wanted to be a flight attendant. One day, while playing tennis, she discovered excruciating pain in her shoulder, and painful bone cancer was discovered. She died after suffering herooically, uniting her pain with Christ, and experiencing deep joy.
But the story doesn't end there.
A young man with fatal meningitis was spontaneously healted after praying for her intercession, she will be beatifed on September 25, 2010. Teenagers can see Chiara as a role model for a young woman who realized that no matter how young or promising you are, you ultimately belong to God, and that His plan far surpasses any you many have for your life.
