Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary

In 1854 Pius IX gave the infallible statement: “The most Blessed Virgin Mary, in the first instant of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege granted by almighty God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the savior of the human race, was preserved free from all stain of original sin.”
Strengthen the faith of a friend today. Start a conversation about this feast day, reminding him to:
1. go to Mass, as it's a Holy day of obligation and 2. make sure they know it's the Immaculate Conception of Mary, NOT Jesus!
So many Catholics are confused on that issue!
